Default 1998 ac 500

Does the 1998 AC 500 have a stock front limited slip or any type of auto locker?

I heard there is a type that sends power to the wheel with more traction. Is this true?

The newer Arctic Cats have locking front differentials. My 08 700 Diesel does. But, if you slightly apply the brakes on your 98, both front wheels will actually lock up, anyway. My feeling, good tires are worth more than a locking differential. The only time I use mine is plowing really deep snow with a 72" plow! You should get some wheel spacers for your 500 , maybe bigger tires. Here's a couple pictures of mine that I just sold with 9,000 miles, a real tank with 30" tires. Picture with my 400, perfect woods buggies.

Wheel spacers would be way out of place where I ride. I'm already riding a 48" wide ATV down trails maintained at 50". If you ride someplace without width limits it's a different story but here they'd be nothing but trouble.
