i have a 2000 big bear 4x4 and i love it. although this being my first quad i have nothing to compare it to. it climbs like a goat!! the one thing that does seem funny is that it is geared low and when i'm in 5th it still feels like i should have one more gear. other then that i love it. definately makes you feel confident!!

Mt big bear is a 2000 to.I have a big wheel kit with the chrome and black centers, looks pretty cool. I just put a tube bumper on the other day and shind it up with sp100.Looks nice.Don't get me wrong when we get dirty we get reall dirty but, when we're not riding i like to look at it clean.

climbes better than a goat! i feel that it needs one more gear at the top. and the 2002 model is same as 2001 except it goes in and out of 4wd, speedometer. hard to get stuck, but not impossible!!! great machine,

Ditto the above, great bike!! Climbs just about anything. Would be nice to have one more gear, though.

It’s a great work machine - reliable and capable of taking abuse. Suspension is a bit stiff, and the engine seems a little noisy, but the Big Bear has been one of the most popular utility machines in this neck of the woods for years.

Very nice overall machine. Not very expensive for what you get. I also agree like it could use one more gear but if most of your riding is trails and tight slow areas it is great. Suspension is very smooth for a utililty/trail machine and is adjustable preload. Has great lowend power and is light for a utility machine. Overall it is tough to beat.

I had a 2001 2x4. Great machine. Geared real low..kept looking for a higher gear on top end. But a good bike overall.
