in my opinion Hell Yes!!
you get the added luxury of racks and low end power with all of the added agility. They can do more work than a sport quad and can fly through the trails faster than a big 4x4. as far as mud if you have a good set of tires in the rear and are a decent driver you can get through some pretty nasty stuff.
i still prefer the sport quads though, gotta have the speed!!

My primary requirement for a utility is HIGH GROUND CLEARANCE. The 4X4 is nice, but out here we don't have the mud and snow like the rest of the country, so most of the time a 4X4 is overkill. Here in the desert your best tactic is to use MOMENTUM, rather than grappling for traction. The 2X4's are a kick to ride!! They are fairly sporty, and you can slide them around like a sport bike. For me, the 2X4 is the best of both (sport and utility) worlds.

Ok you want to hear it I will tell you.We have made a trail through thte deepest muddiest **** possible.I have bearclaws and a 2wd. he has dunlops.I went through first slipping a lot and nearly getting stuck>but my 2wd kept going.He tried and where I almost got stuck he did.The bike stopped completely.Dont know what haPPENED BUT IT DID.He had to winch himself through it.Call me what you want but that is what happened.[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-cool.gif[/img]
