Hey JHAM,
Great price on that Eiger for $4500w/winch. Where in Virgina has them for that? Do you know if the Eiger has a locking front differential? Thanks.

Not sure if we're on the same page cause I'm talking 4x4. The Kodiak 4x4 is around $6200.00. I got my Eiger for $4950.00 with a nice helmet. You must be looking at 2x4 for that kind of money. (??) No the Eiger does not have the locking diff., but it seems to mud better than my 00 kodiak. The Eiger has a 4 valve engine and plenty of power. It won the shootout in ATV mag recently as well.

Sorry, Just misunderstood. I took "B's price of $5500 and subtracted $1000.00. Someone told me you had to stop the Kodiac before you hit the locking differential switch. If this is true, this is not a good thing. Anyone know what the manual says?

I bought my 2003 4x4 450 Kodiak w/warn winch deal from Yamaha for $5500 plus tax, title, license. I think the manual says you should be stopped before engaging dif. lock because the change of handling could cause you to crash. I have only put mine in once and was moving slow trying to get over a large log without backing up.

Thats an excellent price. They won't hardly come off of retail around here. WV has the highest % of atv sales in the nation. I've literally had to wait in line to buy one before. It's hard to get a deal at times when they can't keep them on the floor.

It was $5500 for unit and $69 for winch. Tax, title, registration was on top of that. 0% no pay for 6 months was also nice. This was at Track & Trail in State College, PA 800-585-9200. A customer of mine buys a lot of stuff there and got the price for me from Chuck Dallos, salesman. I let them nail me for $100 in shipping/prep because the dealer kicks in $100 towards the winch in the Yamaha deal, but he told the parts/accessory department to set me up with a discount, so I got back most of it with savings on helmets, goggles, oil/filter, etc. Still a good deal.
