Has anyone done any performance mods to their grizzly 660 other than tires and wheels and if so what did you do?what did it cost? and how much did it improve the performance? oh and where did you get the parts? The more info you could give would be really helpful Thanks Tony

Mountain West Performance Enterprise makes a bolt in 2 inch spark arrestor tip and a 1/2x12 inch drill bit and instuctions to modify the stock muffler to increase flow. I noticed much more torque , smoother power throughout the power band and much better sound quality. I'm running 27" Dirt Devils and the performance mod off-sets the power loss of going to the bigger tires. Not to mention the extreme amount of heat reduction in the exhaust and it looks great. $59.99 for the kit (free shipping and handling) or $49.99 for the tip alone.

Hey PowerHungry660 I was wondering if it was necessary to rejet with that exhaust tip mod? And did it make it alot louder, I ride in some sound sensitive areas. Thanks for the info.

Hey PowerHungry660,
I have a 1999 Grizzly 600....do you think what you did to your grizz, could be done too mine? And would I feel a power difference? After you messed with the spark arrestor, did it make the machine noise loader? Any info. would help....thanks

Hello Men,
You should e-mail the company who makes the mods, they could answer your questions better than I. Personally my own Grizz did not require a re-jet nor 2 other grizzlies I installed the kit on. As for the sound issue, it's hard to describe how much louder the mod makes the Griz. They are all ready kind of noisy, but it is noticably louder. The good thing about the mountain west ent. kit is you can always bolt in your stock exhaust tip if you wish. It will still be a little louder though because you have to drill holes in the muffler baffle plate. To me it was worth the money and the extra noise for the great power gains. The exhaust is louder but it gives it a much better quality soud. Good riding, hope this helps!
