I found myself feeling sorry for you. No one had responded to your post. So here I go!

I haven't done to much as far as homemade add-ons, but I've added quite a few after-market goodies to my Rancher.

One of the most useful items I've added has been the storage boxes to the front and rear. I like being able to carry my belongings and camping supplies without them getting wet, dusty, or looking as though a bungy monster attacked my quad!

I've seen some pretty creative ways of making homeade storage boxes for less money. My dad has an old milk crate strapped to his front rack with zip-ties. It works pretty well for items not needing too much protection.

I've also read of people taking regular tool boxes and mounting them to the front or rear racks. If there's a way to lock the box, so much the better. You can leave your quad long enough for other duties or exploring without concern for smaller items growing legs and walking off.

My custom mods include replacing all 3 headlights in my Forman 450S with lights for a Rubicon - looks great, and removing both racks and having them coated with Rhino Liner truck bed coating.

This is in adddition to 27" Blackwater Tires, K&N filter, Warn 424 selector...
