Anyone have one of these? on a Kodiak? Is it worth the 100+ bucks (canadian)???

What about a clutch kit? not one for big tires, I just want more mid snap.

 

i just put one on my kodiak last night and i think it is definetly worth the 100$.

Rincon...a friend of mine has 1,he got a power kit w/supertrapp ids/2 silencer k/n filter w/outer wears from rockymtn if i remember he runs a 128mj,4th groove,2 3/4ms,and 5 unifilters in the lid with 12disc's in the pipe 126 mj w/no vents in lid @ 2500',the ids/2 he had to replace it with no problems from supertrapp(left the core bolt out from factory) but in my oppinion i would go with a different silencer(mounting hardware sux,but get a disc system) it and the kit really helped after we re-jetted 5 times to tune the disc's to the jets if you have mechanical skills it is no problem but with info i would say it's a pretty simple job because we went from scratch...clutch kit get a spring from epi for $28.00 and keep the stock weight's,clutch kits kill top end to much and cost $200.00 ben there already,good if you have to run 27" tire's or better if not get some 25m/s with some atr's for the summer and you'll be way happier and more $ in your pocket...a degree key from vito's wakes up the bottom/mid.my2 lol.

 

O.K, i won't lie to ya, I STINK AT CARB WORK! But i can follow what you are saying. With the spring from EPI, is just a softer sping or what? What do I ask/look for? I know all the p650 guys say the black sping, or the red spring etc.

I think the after market muffler is what is needed with the K&N power kit. Just the power kit probally doesn't give the full benefits

Rincon...depends on the elevation your at and i'm not sure if the spring colors are the same on all atv's,they are harder/softer i have the red 1, that might be your color as well,i had the blue with my old 27" tire's i sold the tire's and like it overall much better now the big tire's made it handle just to bad call epi at 218 829 6036 or epi silencer's a white bros or mbrp seem to be popular and hmf if you like it loud but they are riveted together and that's not for me... the supertrapp w/race core would not be bad either with a few mounting mods.

 

Thanks, i was just looking for mufflers, but FMF, Pro Circuit, DG, don't make one to fit the Kodaik.

HMF and mbrp are in the states aren't they?? i haven't seen them around here....

 

How Loud is the HMF??

 

Rincon...mbrp is on this site made in can. HMF is in louisiana...and loud,enough you would have to buy a quiet core to ride where loudness matters and the jetting would change slightly as well.the white bros is a good pipe by me 2 disc's silencer's are more tunable also.
