Where to go near Concord/Huntersville/Charlotte NC
My buddy lives there and I'm trying to talk him into getting a wheeler but he says he doesn't know of anywhere close to ride....
Anyone have some suggestions?
It'd make for a nice weekend-----Riding wheelers Friday and Saturday, Winston Cup race on Saturday evening!

I used to live right there.
He's right.
I used to ride on the 485 highway construction (17 miles, between hwy 49 and Lawyers road) (which is probrably done now)
Brown Mt, Uwharrie?, Morganton, Wilksboro, and private land. Its gettin tough there, they have really cracked down up in the mountains.
I used to live a stones throw from Charlotte (Lowes) Motor Speedway.

tell him to check 485 for a fun local spot. If they are at that cut - in stage.
Also there is a place about an hour south of charlotte, in SC just off 77 that has a few tracks and woods courses set up. Its like $10 to enter.
Also, tell him just off hwy 16 just north of the Mt Isle Lake bridge (15 miles NW of charlotte). There is plenty of powerlines and traintracks to keep one busy for a day.
They have really good peanut butter type mud there in the winter. The permanent kind. I call it fouuuiieee
