Default Places to ride near Kansas City?

I have come two different ways. one was off of I-70 and the other was on 24 highway. mapquest says

"Take the exit- exit number 204- toward US-24/EAST LAWRENCE/US-59."

we could maybe meet at that exit?

Is that exit off of I-70? that would probably work. If you have a cell phone you can just call me and let me know where off of that exit or the other way around. I believe that exit gets you on 59 in lawrence. there should be a east lawrence exit..west lawrence..and then lecompton if you are coming from the east.

You pretty well have to take 24 to get to Perry. 24 runs all the way to KC where it intersects 435, if you head north from 70 you'll cross it. I don't know about all these Lawrence exits.

How long are you guys going to be out there? Perry is just over an hour away for me. There's a good chance I could get there tomorrow. I have not had the DS out since Thanksgiving, so it'll probably take some time to remove the snow in front of the door and get the beast fired up. I'm getting a little restless.

Tuttle is the ride area north of Manhattan. Milford is west of here.

Hell yeah..come on out. I plan on being there most of the day. Probably until like 3 or so. I don't know how big the area is because I have never been there so i don't know how long we'll be riding. If it's a full day i'll be there from 9 to 3 or so. Who all has been there? You want to meet us out there? ANyone else?

Anyone have any finalized plans for little sahara? RIght now it looks like we are heading out thursday morning the 25th.
What all do you guys normally take? Is there a store down there for food etc? Just need to get an idea of how to pack etc.

Also, probably need to know if the people going want to camp or get a house..I know pwpred has somewhere to stay. If we are going to get a house, we probably need to get that taken care of pretty quick.

I don't really have any solid plans for LS over spring break. I was thinking I'd go the first weekend. I need to check with some of the guys here in town that ride down there often and see when they're going.
Who all is "we"? If I can't get a hard answer out of my other guys, I might just plan to go whenever you guys go so I can be sure to have a group to ride with. It's kinda dangerous riding alone out there.

I stayed in a motel in Alva last time I went, and in a tent the first two times I was there. Camping there isn't too bad- there are showers (you need quarters) and everything.

The gas station that you can ride to at the dunes has a convenience store and they do short-order food also. They sell 100 octane at the pump, so that's nice for some people. There are a few stores in Waynoka for food and some parts. In Alva, about 30 miles away, they have most everything a large town should have... several restaurants, hotels, Wal-Mart, etc.

I've never been there in March- I imagine the weather could be just about anything.
