So tell me about riding in Mass state forests, please
I just went to the Springfield DMV to register the quads in mass, and other than walking around downtown Springfield in 90 degree heat for a while due to a bum giving me wrong directions to the Dept of Revenue to pay taxes,it went well.

So I kinda wanna try riding in either Pittsfield or Beartown over the July 4th weekend.
Has anyone ridden there before?
How is the terrain? technical and rocky or wide and open?
Any info you can give me will help a lot.
Also,I've been told that parking can be paid for on a "per day" basis and that the annual pass is not required. Is this true?
Do they have ample parking for truck/trailer?
What are the riding hours?
I'll be commuting from my house near Albany NY,about 90 mins,so I won't be camping or anything.
Thanks for any help you can give me,guys(and girls).

Pittsfield is awesome, has wide open dirt roads, mud, tight trails, fast trails and not too rocky. I didnt have to pay to park there ever before but i havent been there this year yet. Beartown is ok but kinda small. I suggest October Mountain or Tolland State forest both have a very wide variety of terrain and plenty of free parking. You will definitely not be disappointed.
