It is now legal to ride out of Talihina state park. This is an experiment they are trying and may grow to other st parks as well if it works.I suspect that the st. ranger there had a lot to do with making this happen for us. His name is Ugein (spel?). This is a very small park and does not draw much of a crowed as it does not have a lake to draw the boater bunch. It has recently been dicoverd by the motorcycle crowd (road bikes) because of the Talimena Dr. and for the last couple of years by the dirt bike and ATV crowd. This park is # 1 on the states closer list and this is a last dich effort to save it. It is a st. park but when you leave it you will be ridding in a Na. park. Ugein and his wife run the park and are great pepole. Ugein has even been known to give guided tours. Lets try to save this place. There are I think about 12 RV sites, and many tent sites.
