Default Puget Sound/Seattle NW Area Riders Meet HERE!!!

WEll as far as the Z400 I've just sat on one, I do like the seat cuz it's a little wider than the EX's, from what I've seen you can mod the hell outta them also & make em scoot but even stock heck I'd take one!! As far as going to Spokane, that sounds like what I'd be doing too!!! I sat on the DVX400 but didnt' really like the "fit" but then again I am quite short so that could be some of it, I would just like to have a 4?? w/ the geometry of my 300 frame ect.

the jets are easy you'll be just fine Ya know I wonder why FMF or WHOEVER, puts those discs on backwards??????? And why would CB tell you thats how they are supposed to be sometimes I wonder if they know what the hell they are talking about.................no offense Bill I swear one of these days I want to open an aftermarket shop w/ the parts people ACTUALLY use/need like the little things in life already thinkin of names......................Aftermarket Effects, Afterthoughts,Aftermarket Afterthoughts.................. just got my little pea brain thinking LOL

Default Puget Sound/Seattle NW Area Riders Meet HERE!!!

Hey everyone, I have an idea I want to see if anybody would be interested in. Capital forest trails close on the 31st, so I was thinking about getting a group ride together on the 30th, to make a large loop through the forest. I was thinking about stageing at rock candy trail head, heading south on north rim #1 to Porter creak, take that to mount molly loop to waddell, then going on the waddell loop, back to north rim #1 and back to rock candy. I figured we could stage a truck at waddell, with a grill, coolers with food, and gas, and take a break their for awile, before heading to rock candy.

What do you all think?

Also, who is going to the poker run this weekend, to ride?

Thanks

Dont want orange so thats why i picked z400. The only thing i'm wondering about the z400 is it high geared in 1st and 2nd (like a raptor) or more of a low geared like a warrior? The reason i ask is because i do alot of trail riding and like the low geared on the trails but like high geared at dunes. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
I have one of those Killer Green Bikes(KGB)! I am Very Happy with mine! The only problem I have had has been that those darn Raptors can woop up on me drag racing in the sand! I am still pretty new at riding, but I feel that the Z/KFX/DVX400's are a great all around quad, that can be easily modded. They can be lugged really low, are comfortable like a Caddy but not top heavy(like Raptor), and well built and withstand the abuse.

I just dumped a bunch of money into mine so that I can try out some racing at Woodland, so kinda too wide for trails for the time being. Check out my Pics.
Also a buddy of mine just bought a 04 kfx for $5250 and a 04 DVX for $4950 plus tax at Kent Kawi. They might even go lower trying to dump the 04 models. The 05 Z's have the shocks that are suppose to be better but no discount on the new models.

Hope that helps a bit PM if any Ques. and I know Dinger has the Z400 that he likes(I think).

Dinger,

That's a great idea!!! My wheels aren't quite square yet... One more trip to capitol forest should bash the little round areas out of the rims... I'm in!!!!

I can drop off my thermos of brawts...

Got a new brake lever for the scrammy today... Polaris is sure proud of that lever...

I forgot I got a spanking, well it must not have worked. I forgot what I did wrong.

The Z type 400's are good product. If I could only have one quad that is what it would be, no doubt about it. In fact I get another one in a while and if nothing changes between now and then it will be my 3rd bike.

If Justin won't help you let me know I'll give you a hand with that carberator.

Default Puget Sound/Seattle NW Area Riders Meet HERE!!!

I just read this on another thread,,,and got a kick out of it. It made me think of my buddies!!! (you know who you are)

Last summer, a bunch of happy-go-lucky Yamaha ATV'ers were spending the day racing up the famous Boxcar hill at the even more famous Oregon Dunes Recreation Area. This was not a game for the weak or the timid, this was a contest of big horsepower and even bigger egos. Suddenly, out of the rotting Salmon stenched fog, a solitary rider approached. It was obvious that he intended to teach us the definition of eye-watering acceleration. I noted that this somber rider, clad in mismatched sneakers, open-faced helmet and welding gloves, was mounted on a grey and black steed that bore the famous logo of a company that knew how to build automatics, watercraft and snowmobiles. He wasn't here to play. So, as we revved our motors, he lined up and took his place amongst the legends of ATV'ing, yes, the Banshees, the Raptors, the YFZ450's and even a random Breeze or two. Thumbs twitched, wrists turned, engines snarled and the contest began. Out of the corner of my eye, I tried to catch a glimps of this formidable looking foe. But, he was nowhere to be seen. As I looked farther back, I could see the desperate rider prompting his gray steed for all it had, but alas, there was no more to give. Being the staunch supporters of ATV'ing that we are, we yelled ecouragements. There could be heard shouts of "Is that all you got?", "Try another gear!", "How 'bout a tow strap?" and "You're kiddin'-right?" reverberating throughout the dunes. As we awaited his arrival, he silently peeled away, dejected and humiliated. His back slumped in shame, much akin to that of an spineless invertibrate (squid), and the sobbing came next. We could hear him stifle a cry of "Oh god, 60 more payments". The last image we saw, as he faded into the fog, was the sticker on his plastic that said........PREDATOR.

Karl,,,you dont have welding gloves in that RV do you?
