Default Puget Sound/Seattle NW Area Riders Meet HERE!!!

Originally posted by: RidinLCWA Happa, once again good job as Trail Boss on Saturday. It was a great time. It was really fun letting the quad open up and run to the limit for a change. Nice change from the trails. Though, it would be nice to hit the trails again.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the ride. As soon as you can get the time, we need to run up to Reiter for some trail riding, just give me the word and I'll set the date aside, unless you just want to do some wrist break riding at Tahuya.

Wow! What a small world!!

Nice the boy ran into you (ok, bad joke) Welcome to our thread!!!

You are my neighbor if you live in UP. This group does a ton of riding - sand, dirt, mud, snow, fast, slow and technical..........you take your choice.

We are currently doing a quad motocross series at Woodland that is a kick - some of the northenders flattrack - you should check us out and meet some of the group properly.

Anyway, again, welcome, and I hope your quad is ok.

It is a small world. I have been reading this forum off and on and just happend to come a cross your post about Tahuya and a Z400 collision. I am interested in finding more places to ride. Sounds like this is the right place to find out. I really would like to go to the Oregon dunes. Never ridden on sand before. Do most of you on this forum belong to a club? What is the quad motorcross series? I am not in to racing just having fun. Thanks for the welcome. Oh yeah my quad is fine just really scratched up. Had to straighten out the handle bars and adjust the controls a bit. its officially broken in. I have only had it a week.

Chris

Which exit off I-5 do you take to get up there?

Lets pick one and try to go for it. Maybe I can talk BEAR into coming up with us. Might have to twist his arm pretty hard though, hehe

I just did 2 in a row. It was like I told him to pack sand. He told me I take more time off than anyone. I have over 2900 hours for the year, so yeah I should take more off.

Covered 40 miles and met up with a couple of local guys I hadn't met before. Oh yeah, found out the 400 will handle slightly more than 3 feet of water. Came at the wet spot from the back side and couldn't see the depth marker, the sucker got my feet wet even with them up on the fenders. Even made it through in 2 wheel drive, when am I gonna find a place that the 4X4 is needed?
You sure blew it now, we'll be bugging you to take us riding at your secret spot Maybe you'll get a chance to lock it up this weekend, or atleast use your winch for a couple of sporties hehehe.

Larry; Anytime you can get free I'd love to show you the area. It's not really a big secret as the area is from Shelton north to Union and northeast to Belfair, past Mason Lake and lake Trask. The area has roads along power lines and gas pipelines and so many logging roads and skidder trails that you can't count them all. There must be hundreds of ways in, I only know of about 20 but then I don't go far from the house to get in. You can park at my house and then leave from there. If a large group shows up I can get permission for everyone after the first couple to park at the fire station (I have an in with the fire commissioners) or everyone can park there. If the tide is low you guys can get some oysters and clams even.

Andre, If u make it I can throw my tow line on U and might even try to make it up beside U. It is looking like my neighbor and I will be making the Hangover Scramble Jan1. He has the 250r that was quad of the month last month, he is afraid he can't ride it up to its good rep, but will give it a try.

The bars are always the first to go! Rocky Mountain ATV has a pretty good setup of fat bars and clamp with indicator light holder by TrailTech for a decent price.
