cool bear, happa was talking about doing a ride new years day.

i wanna thank everybody for there input on tires for me, i decided not to get the mudmachines yet. so i put my order in with rocky mountain atv and my new tires will be on their way soon, i decided on the razr 2's in 22x11x9. so next comes the fun part of breaking my old tires down, putting the new ones on is the easy part.

I keep a short chunk of 3/4" plywood (2 feet long x 1 foot wide) in my garage for a do it myselfer bead breaker. I set it up on the edge of the wheel and drive the wifes S-10 blazer up on it and kablamm. It works great, and its cheap. The trick is a new piece of wood, not 15 year old trailer decking. (thats experience talkin)

In their defense, they were helping the bike rider that packed the wall in 4. That is why they took so long.

Now if I was on the track I'd would have chewed the race director for running without the medics back. At Monroe, if they are out the races wait. That sucks but what if your the 2nd guy on the ground? He acted like he was broken but I think he was OK.
That's better to hear, somebody else posted they were in a back room eating lunch or something.

That is pretty much the rule at the track I work at. If we are busy tending to somebody, they will not start another heat until I tell them we are ready.
If we (or at least one of us) can break away from helping the person we are helping, then race on..
If they are hurt enough we do not want to leave them, then the race will wait.
Safety is more important to us than any race or start time, in my opinion of course.
Kirk Swain was racing in that event and he and another racer found the EMS guys eating! Not helping someone else. Kirk is not the kind of guy to pump smoke up somebody for the hell of it.

THe guy that packed the wall in turn 4 at the ice show couldn't have been hurt too bad. After they half carried his bike off the track, he re-entered the race on another machine at the restart. I know , I know, he was down for a bit, but he walked off the track, and rode back onto the track for the restart on a different machine.
