Old PSAR thread - please see the new one
Quad4fun Thank you for reminding us that there are soldiers out there that are protecting us. The story of the guy that was attacked hit home. Both mb and I are exmilitary and we have a dear friend in Kuwait now. I am amazed that a piece of cotton from police and firefighters make our troops day better. I understand that they need to know that we support them. Something so small as a shirt means a great deal to them. Thank you for sharing that story with us.

As long as it helps you and those others that are deserving, absolutely .
I would not want to be in your shoes at all.
I know you'd rather listen to us goofballs (ok, me) than that dang ringing. I can't imagine how annoying that is.
So in light of that, I guess I'll just keep typing away...............
Who loves ya...............
So I don't have to put another post (I'm on a roll today), here...........
We'll have to get with FishyGal and her hubby and go ride some of the trails near Packwood.
There are some trails up there I have been meaning to go scout out. We'll scout 'em out then invie the Northenders to come play.
There is suppose to be some good ones. I've looked them up on the FS website, and I alsok FishyGal might have even been there before.
There is even a nice campground there that you can ride from.
More info and planning to follow....................

Sean; The only good part about the bad ears, both the deafness and the ringing, is your tax dollars come to me every month, via my VA check. Please don't stop working and paying you taxes. I like those tax free dollars. I never try to offend, just comes naturally at my age.

it's also amazingly(well, maybe not considering what they have/don't have over there) how just the ammenities of everyday life also pump them up.
We have sent care packages to the soldiers also. From magazines, to shampoo, to trinkets, to sunglasses with a blow up little kids pools(hehe), etc etc.. They love that stuff........
The police and FF thing was to remind them of all the Police, FF's and civilians, killed on 9/11.
The cool part is, they love the shirts and stuff, they wear them all over.
Just glad we can do our part to make there hellish days a little better
Something about mortar shells whistling over your head numerous times throughout the day, makes me glad to be here. It's not the one whistling over your head you have to worry about, it's the ones behind it that fall short, like where you are standing

Yeah, those are the ones, I'm sure most people don't care to ride in a downpour but those little tiny puddles can spray alittle bit of water up on ya. Between Tahuya and Reiter, they seem to never drain down, splash splash

What happened with the gallery? They've had the same pages up for a week or two.

the featured page usually re-ups every day,,,,,,,,,,it may have something to do with the recent site maintanence
to answer your question,,,,,I have no idea......
Sean,
Great story.
Of course I will always support our men and women in the armed forces having a son in the Army, a future daughter-in-law in the Army ROTC and my son's best friend (my "third son" Justin) in the Marines.
Justin is heading to Iraq or Afganistan in March and Nate is probably going to Iraq in October. Thankfully Nate is a Bradley driver so he has more than 8" of armor around him.
Cindy and I will worry constantly from the day he ships out until his return (Justin's too).
I get very emotional just thinking about it. (wiping eyes now).

Fortunately for my family every one that went is home now and out of the service except for my nephew on a carrier out of Everett, Wa. Everyone of them came home safe and unscratched fortunately.

BEAR, glad to hear all made it home
Oh today.....I got my 450 outfitted for trail usage. New photos pending authorization. Dirtmomma and family dropped by for a bit of ute quad wrenching, and alot of bsing. Good company, good times The mini racers only made each other cry a couple of times, that was entertainment.( they race quads together, but fight over a tricycle) only to be 5 years old again!
I did learn a valueable lesson today, two actually! #1 Mice can and will take home to the drive belt compartment of an unridden 2000 Kodiak. #2 the rocker arm cover of the same kodiak can be bolted on 90 degrees the WRONG way! Who would have thought that was possilbe I was working blind, no room to see around my large claw of a hand, and fender plastic during assembly. It put a touch of oil on the floor rather fast I must say.
