Old PSAR thread - please see the new one
We only saw 2 Stupid Human Tricks
#1 - One guy using a collapsilbe knife to pry something on his quad, oops. He lost the tip of his finger.
Of course with 2 firefighters and a Paramedic in the group, we were gone and the girls (who don't like blood, hehehe) had to render aid. hehehehe. And this guys was a bloody bloody mess. They were troopers though and got him all bandaged up
#2 - I'll give you all 1 guess on the second "Stupid Quad Trick".....................
Have you figured it out????????????
Sure you have....................
So this guy tries to load his NEW quad into the back of his truck, jacked up truck of course.
Do ya think he had a helmet on.......NOT
My buddy, his wife, and others witnessed it.
He FUBARed his face pretty bad. A bloody mess, and big gashes needing many many stitches.
He was smart enough to not want his wife to see what he looked like, although she did witness it.
Then, here comes Ranger Rick with his "first-aid" kit. hehehehe. a little tiny thing with a couple band-aids.
He'll live, but another lesson for us all on what being lazy can do. It can happen to us. Unfortunately some others have seen this also.

And now for the big debate.........
Which quads to get
My choices are between the Z400 and the DS
That won't be to bad.
Then there is Tam.......
I think I have her convinced to get something a lot funner for her.
But she doesn't want a clutch.
I think the Z250 or 250EX will not be quite big enough for her.
Maybe....... I might try the Z250, and if it's not enough, I'll just give it to Ashley.....
So now the search begins.....aaaaaggggggghhhhhhhhh
The Foreman is officially on the chopping block now......................

Hi everyone, just got back home from Hawaii. Weather was great (hot & humid). Lots of work, not much play. Had a great time though. The police and lifeguards all had quads on the beach, what a job. It looks like I have lots of reading to do, maybe tomorrow. The wife will beat me if I don't spend some time with her.
As some of you already know... I am on dial-up, and trying to keep up with this incredible forum would be a full time job.
SO: I appologize if this is old news but I thought it deserved some attention:
I just read the latest Blue Ribbon Coalition letter and it talks about a few WA State bills currently in legislation. The one that caught my attention was the one that sounds like I can get a ticket for riding on my own property.
Senate Bill 5089 and the companion House Bill 1455 states:
It is a traffic infraction for any person to operate any nonhighway vehicle:
On lands zoned as residential within six hundred feet of another property owner's residence, or within six hundred feet of another property owner's barn, stable, penned area, or similar structure...
Am I reading that correctly? Does it say that I can get a ticket for riding less than 1/8 of a mile away from my neighbors?
Here is the full bill:
http://www.leg.wa.gov/pub/billinfo/2...Bills/1455.htm
If I am reading that correctly and the bill passes I will be moving to a ATV friendly state ASAP.

That's just the leader to make you think it's only about the city. Later they reduce the noise levels so low that no one can pass them and then include farm land and roads and on and on. Otherwise the intent is to outlaw ATV riding. The thing they haven't thought about is that their noise regs are gonna affect riding lawnmowers and then I won't have to mow my lawn anymore. This thing is so bogus. They had some Doc lie to them that 55db of noise will damage your hearing. Yeah right, a whisper will damage your hearing. Normal conversation is 65db, they lie again, as always.

I for one am going to start looking for out of state recreational property. What states are REALLY ATV friendly?
Anyone want to move with me? I may be able to get U-Haul to give us a discount if we all go at the same time.

Idaho, you can run them on the street there and Oregon, a lot of places to ride all over the state. Oregon uses the off road money wisely.

I'm not sure what I can do as 1 person, but I think being able to ride my quad on my own property is worth fighting for... Who do I fight? Where do I start the fight?
