I know lots of folks have plans already, and some in April,
But I"m thinking of Florence April 2 - 9 , due to kids Spring Break.
Hopefully I can have some speed demon quads by then

Check for sites in Honeyman State park NOW. They are probably all full already due to spring break for the kids. Are you going to be camping or staying on a Hotel in Florence?

Just north of Eugene, by Springfield, you can exit I-5 and get on a loop that will take you around downtown Eugene to hiway 126.

I thought about the crowds for Spring Break, but I really want to go for longer than a weekend. So I'm kinda stuck going then. We'll also go back after school gets out.
We'll be camping, or some form of it anyway
Is there any recommendations for sites at Honeyman? Or, top stay away from?
Now I remember you guys all talking about that place.
Any alternatives that you can ride to the dunes from??????
Sean,
There are only two public campgrounds that you can ride into the Florence dunes from. One is Honeyman State Park, which I stated before is probably already booked full. It has hookups.
The other is Driftwood II. It is at the southend of the dunes. At this time of year, until May 1st, it is first come first serve. There are no hookups. Water is available and there are restroom and brand new showers built last spring. That is where we are staying at the end of April.
There is a private campground just south of the stae park called Sand dunes Frontier. Go to Sanddunesfrontier.com
They have hook ups I believe and direct dune access.
Good luck and have fun. (Get a sport quad before you go!)

Sean, I just checked Honeyman State Park on reserve america for the dates you mentioned and it looks like you are SOL there good buddy. If I were you, I would get a hold of Sand Dunes Frontier ASAP. Either that or you will be dry camping at Driftwood II
