Puck = Mouse with 5 buttons and a thumb roller instead of finger. Its on a 12x18 tablet so its cordless. and operates on relative location instead of like a mouse. each button is programable to anyset of key strokes. Like i have on my puck i use for movement i have a double click button and a button that does ctrl+C and one that does ctrl+V and left n right clicks of course. then i set my double click speed full speed so that i cant possibly double click anything without hittling the dbl click button.
VB=Visual Basic, there is mild version of it integrated with all MS Office applications such as Excel, word, Access and bla bla bla
Job Cost report. hmmmm
Items such as
Phase II drywall Area A
Equipment = $500
Labor = $5,000
Material = 6900
Other = 0
Subcontractor=0
So for everyphase & area and trade there are cost codes and junk. and for analysis purposes they needed to be put into Columns instead of rows. and a simple pivot table wouldnt work

Have i ever told you guys how flippin sweet it is to have 3 pucks for my tablet all with minumum of 5 programable buttons to do anything i want. I suppose i could write sompin in VB to do a similar thing but its just so fast to program a puck. i just spread a 20,000 line job cost report down to 4500 lines. there was anywhere from 2 to 6 lines per cost code. man i would have hated doin that with out it.
