Well, I guess this place is starting to not be fun anymore.
I have to be honest, I hate being gone for a day or two and having to skim through pages and pages of stuff to try and see what's going on.
Tonight again there were 20 or so new pages, at 20 ppp, equals 200+ posts.
It's just not fun weeding through them.
Honestly most of it is just normal conversation that people would normally talk about on the phone or in person.
When you get 20 or so people talking like that on here like that, that's a lot of just "stuff".
When I last left, there was talk going on about Florence in April, and I really don't feel like trying to remember what pages those were on and going through a few to find it all.
This was the situation at some point early last year also.
Then somebody came up with the Yahoo chat. That was fun and helped a lot with post and posts and posts.
Then we got the MSN chat that worked better, and that helped.
The post count went down severely and you could actually look for meaningful info about rides and events that were being talked about, without having to go through hundreds of posts to find it.
But that has gone by the wayside and now were back to diarrhea posting [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
It's just not fun anymore.
THE PEOPLE are great and fun, THE RIDES are great and fun.
I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT ANY INDIVIDUALS WHATSOEVER, ABSOLUTELY NOT.
Nobody should take offense or think I am attacking anybody.
Its just the venue here that we are using.
We are just a huge group, with lots to say. And it's hard to keep up.
So, honestly, I won't be on here much anymore for a while. I'll find someway to find out when the rides and stuff are that are just talked about on here and not put on the PSAR calendar.
I don't want to miss any of that at all. As I, and everybody else has said, and will continue to say.....
This is a terrific group of friends to camp and ride with. I wouldn't give that up for anything.
I know I am just one person, so I'll take all the slingin you can give [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

We will be at Oakwood all day Saturday for practice, and Sunday until after the morning races.
Look for us if you come on down.

I am, after all, a 3pete 1000th poster [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
And I petered out for the same reasons that I just posted. In consideration of the whole group.
This group gets along well, and this is really the only venue, besides riding, for people to just chit chat.
It's just with this many people "chit-chatting", it adds up.
That's why the MSN chat was so nice, it honestly alleviated 90% of the "chit-chat" and left the good stuff for the forum.
I don't think there are that many current folks that were actually here before the MSN chat petered out.
So maybe the easy solution is to just fire that thing up again.
I use to login to it, and just wait for others to come join in, but they never did.

My solution to this "Voice Recognition" I can type stuff as fast as i can read it outloud. As long as this thread catches the eye of a potential future neighbor riding buddy,,,,i really dont care how it is used.
There is a reason we just hit 20,000,,,,,because at one time or another we were all Post HOOOOO's.
It does seem to have its ups and downs as people move in and begin to feel comfortable and chatty.
Screw the politics,,,,enjoy the thread!!!
