I opted not to do Florence, instead the wife and I are heading down to Sunriver in Central Oregon on May 8th for 5 days and are gonna ride East Fort Rock OHV Area. We are staying in a house on the Deschutes River for less than $75 a day with hot tub, fireplace, bikes and a canoe.

 

Well that sounds like a whole lotta fun there Mister [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] never heard of it you'll have to let us know how it is!!

Dave and Staci want to ride Tahuya, they were riding there Saturday also. I also want to ride Tahuya, is there anybody else that wants to go. I think Staci wants another female to join in on the ride.

 

We went to East Fort Rock twice last year. 318 miles of trails from 4400 feet to 5500 feet. Camping at the staging areas plus at the China Hat Campground. This time of year there is almost no one using it. Last fall we cheated and went up one of the Forest Service roads into the Newberry Caldera from the east, thru the 7000 ft pass. There are 2 lakes in the crater plus it is larger than Crater Lake. You can drive in from the west side from Hwy 97 on a paved road. There are 2 resorts and 4 or 5 camp ground and great fishing. We plan on at least another trip in the fall for a week or ten days and camp at the China Hat campground. Anyone want to go either this time or in the fall?
