Puget Sound/Seattle NW Area Riders Meet HERE!!!
This is a reminder that the WA ATV Assn and some other groups will be doing trail work at Capitol Forest on Saturday, June 4. We are meeting at Middle Waddell Day Use Area. People are gathering between 9 and 10 a.m. The work parties will leave the staging area around 10 a.m., returning by 2 p.m. At 2 p.m. the DNR wil lhave door prizes, give-aways, etc. Smokey the Bear will also make an appearance for photos with the kids (and some adults).
This is a "National Trails Day" event. So, there will be hikers, bikers and ORV folks staging for trail clean-up. I'm working with the WA ATV Assn. Depending on numbers, we likely will spread out in groups of 4 to 6 on the trail system. We'll get marching orders during the staging time. I believe the maintenance will vary as well. I know that there are some big ruts that need to be fixed, limbs to be trimmed, etc. Let me know if you are interested or just show up.
