WOW! 21 is geting set aside for me? What an honor.
I'll have to wait and see about going though. Nate's deployment has been moved up from Just before Thanksgiving to somewhere in the first two weeks of October. Not sure on the exact date yet. We talked to Nate last night (he is at the National Training Center in the Mojave Desert) and he said his Sarge told them 70 days to deployment. Not sure when the 70 days count down started. He told us he will probably have two 4 day weekends before deployment and after he gets back to base from the National Training Center in September, he's down there in the Mojave for a month.

I really like you guys but if it's a choice between seeing my son before he heads to Iraq or riding in the dunes with a great group of people I think I'll choose my son! I know you'll understand.

If he leaves before that weekend it will actually be a good time to get away. Get around friends and keep Cindy and I occupied instead of sitting around thinking about him over there. I don't know when we'll know if we can make it. It may be last minute and if it is, I'm sure we can find a spot to squeeze in.

It is my sand quad, but, I might take it someplace like Capitol Forest, if the roads are open during bridge construction for the break-in, it won't see any trails.
