Default Puget Sound/Seattle NW Area Riders Meet HERE!!!

Wow, that'll teach me to miss a day of reading on here
Got on to read last night, then had a fire.
Some punks torched a vacant house that was for sale and we didn't get back and cleaned up until 0530
Big fire, no house left

That's a lotta pages in a couple days

Chicken farmers and fish apples are as close as work and fishing. I think you understand what I mean.

I've have been riding 3 wheelers for many years and finally got a 4x4 quad this summer. I have been on the Naches trail a couple of times on my various 3 wheelers and want to ride it on my quad. It’s not a trail for beginners anyone interested?? Im open any weekend. I have a 99 Yamaha Kodiak 400 with warn winch, dirt devils, and full body skid plates. AIM- poweram100

Welcome to the thread Matt. You'll find a great group of folks here. Where is the Naches trail you are talking about?

The Nachess Pass Trail is located off highway 410 just pass the little town of Greenwater off FSR 70. It’s the historic wagon trail the settlers took to get to western Washington. The scenery is beautiful. The trail is about 25 miles long. It will take a full day to ride the trail but its well worth it.

Sounds cool. Is it passable for sport quads or do you really need a Ute? Technical or rough terrain isn't necessarily the issue, but if you really need a winch to make it through, sporties will have an extra challenge.

I didn't know you could start on that trail at Greenwater, heck, there's plenty of area on a sporty to mount a winch, I would guess it couldn't be too much worse than Walker, Evans or Elbe. That would be an interesting ride, I know Nick would up for the challenage along with myself and a few others.

This statement is regarding a dyno on a 700R with LRD slip on, paper filter, no lid, Dobeck TFI, could somebody elaborate for me?

Looking at the chart, something is causing all the lines to converge to a general area then drop off. This is a classic sign of a torque inducing cam. ( Like The Old RV cams from the early 80's) they use timing to bump up low end torque at the cost of anything on the top end. I think with 11.5 and a good cam say a stage 1 Hot Cam (When they get theirs out shortly) will make the torque rise a bit slower but help the over rev and should pull strong to at least 8 depending on the grind etc. We are talking about just putting in a cam for testing just to see if it helps.
