You need a steel rod, 8mm diameter, 10cm long in order to adjust the chain on the 700R.
Hap, just use a phillips screw driver, stick it in the hole and roll the bike forward the thing moves real easy. Remember to loosen the pinch bolts
Your, chain must not have stretched yet, mine loosens up enough to just pick it up off the sprocket when the skid plates removed.
I used an extension from my little drive socket set, works great. The chain hasen't stretched one bit, I have a gold atv chain that has two rides on it, gonna cut it to fit, slap on the master link and call it good. Have you taken your airbox out yet for that adapter? It takes alittle figuring to get that airbox out, much easier than the 660.
Yep, got the new fiter and adapter all installed, tweaked the fuel map and got her dialed. This thing just keeps getting better & better
The only thing that I found a little irratating on the air box mod was getting the right side bolt that goes into the side of the airbox started when I was puttin every thing back together. All I have left to do is change the oil and she's ready for the Dunes

Looking forward to the ride mid month. I want to re-shoot the group shot again. I want to set the time to get the shot for sunset and we will re-shoot it near where we did the last shot if you all agree.

I dont know what happened to the last shot I took, but I dont control what goes into the mag. Things move at a snails pace sometimes, sometimes they come out as scheduled. I want to get a more picturesque shot with a bit of Pac NW Color in it. Wish there were some leaves turned color already. Ill advise of the time on Saturday when we get there!

3 more days til I know about my new Suzuki Quadracer 450! Woo hooo!

I finally figured out you only have to drop the airbox cover from the bottom to get the airbox out, but that one bolt on the right side, it's tight getting a socket between the frame and exhaust. The breather tube that goes back into the bottom of the box, is it doing any good just exhausting gases back into an open airbox?

On my 660 I put a filter on that tube and completely did away with the airbox, it can be done with this airbox, just gotta figure how to mount the CDI to the frame. I think that might be a project when the full system goes on

I changed from a 38 to a 40, trying to get the 40 on without breaking the chain, I got it as far as getting it on both sprockets but I need a tad bit more length to put the bolts through the holes and even then it's just too tight.
You feel you need to re-gear already? Before you've really given it a good test at Florence? Bring the 40 with you to Florence, ride with the 38 and then see if you think it needs re-gearing.

Good mornin' PSAR

Everyone's tinkering with their quads, guess I'll have the slow one of the group.

Oh, I forgot about Nick!

Still haven't heard whether Nate has leave in Oct. or not, so we still don't know if we'll make Florence
