Yes, Washington has a mandatory helmet law for quad riders.
The law is a little more subtle. State law requires one to wear a helmet if riding on public lands. Private lands are exempted.
Last I check, all or Capitol Forest is public. Besides a helmet protects the only part of your body the Docs can't fix if you mash it up, your brain.
Bear, it is hard for me to find something on which we disagree. I am with you 100% on the wisdom of wearing a helmet. It should be as soon as one swings a leg over the seat, that one has a helmet on his/her head.

Happa, I like my Vinson. It has served me well. It should fit a tall guy like yourself pretty well. It won't outrun your Rappy, but it will hang with the dogs if ridden well. (Don't take my riding as an example of ridden well.) If you do get one, be sure it has an aftermarket front bumper or plan to get one. While the overall machine is pretty stout, the front plastic is not.
I remember back when that vinson was new she surely aint like that no more.
It got beat up trying to keep up with your crazy riding (and others like you). Alll things grown and evolve to become better. My little quad is evolving all the time. Usually, evolution is a violent and sometimes painful process. As I said -- all the time!

I don't know what to do.

Yes I do, it must be time to start drinking
Stock machines are more reliable in my opinion. Modded machines are a kick in da deals.

I agree, stock machines are the most reliable. I've never had a problem with the mods done to the preddy, it's just the stupid things I do that put our machines down.

I'm torn on my opinion of the LTE exhaust system. It is awesome for power gains, but it doesn't comply with the Oregon dunes 93db requirements. With the quiet cores, it's 96db. I've done several different modifications to the quiet cores to get it down to 93db, but caused the end caps on the black preddy to vibrate loose. That was caused by the cores being too heavy and long, I have made new ones that are lighter and shorter.

I'll ride Washington without quiet cores, but since the stock LTE quiet cores don't comply with the 93db limit I have to modify them to ride Oregon. It's just a bummer that the end-cap might continue to vibrate loose, since I have to send them back to LTE to get them repaired.

You run your sorry Azz off the road on a punny little corner that any rookie could make and then make me come back and pull you sorry butt back up on the road. You and Happa were the tow boys that day..
