I did get to use Bear's manual non-chain saw on a 8" diameter tree that had fallen across a trail, now that's a handy little saw, no way around the tree, nor could we move it, once I cut it in half, it was removed and we carried on.

Explain to us what the deal was with the DS at the beginning of the ride.

 

Of all the parts that I'm fixing or replacing the shifter is the only thing that hasn't came in yet[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-frown.gif[/img]. Something about their manufacturer isn't getting them out quick enough, so I talked them into the more expensive one for the cheaper one price.

Anyway don't worry I will have it all back in time for our NEW YEARS TRIP to Horsefalls. So far looks like the same group as last year, Ur in right Karl? Anyone else interested?

As you know, the DS won't hold in 1st gear, that has seemed to mess up the ability to shift into Neutral from 2nd.
the DS was in neutral during transport and still after unloading.
when I turned on the key, I got no indicator lights (including the neutral light)

seems the neutral safety switch messed up, I engaged the clutch and all was fine

so the answer is, JUST LEARNING A QUIRKY QUAD, I had it running and the hood back on 5 minutes after you went on the short ride

Nope, I stayed at the Barn to make some coin from the sno ho mobile show. Glad I did, it was a record sales day for our parts department. That will feel real good at the end of the month for me. Well it was a GOOD night @ the ol' roundy round track [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-tongue.gif[/img] Team Sandvig Racing did AWESOME!! Little Trev did soooo much better tonight w/ the new tire set up & gearing, he ran 2 classes, peewee(cuz he NEEDS that trophy LMAO[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]) & the 50-65cc open in the peewee he was a sandbagger [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif[/img] unfortunetly I didn't realize that the S & D staff put him in the peewee 4-5 yr olds [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img] OOPPSSSs but he friggin' RAILED in that class lapping most of the riders & taking 1st in his heat & main. The other class him,BRandon, & another boy were the only ones in the heat Trev took 2nd, BUT THAT CHANGED for the main OMG they stuck 7 friggin' kids out there & what a mess but they all made it thru & I'm sure the lil' ones learned something [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img], Trev actually had a good time in that class too, he was sooooo outclassed but I suppose it'll be that way ALL year, oh well the slower ones will learn to become better riders [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]
DJ did good on the 400 [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img] he had fun, it's crazy how he rides the bigger cc quads better than the rest [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] he ran the 450 Open class & I will have to say he was right there in the mix!! He took I think 3rd or 4th in his heat & he took 2nd in his main(B main again[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img]) the track SUCKKKKKKKEEEDDDDDD & I was just a spectator!!!!!! It was worse than last week I THINK!! Good thing my kids trail ride, I jus told the little one to "hang on tight" honey hahahaha HE DID
Dj raced w/ ol' Tractorpacker [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] he had fun, he likes racing w/ that crazy ol' Joely [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] Andy did pretty good on his quad but took er upside down [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img][img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-shocked.gif[/img] think it got a few wounds but nothing major & he was OK I do believe!!
There were A TON of wipe outs tonight it seemed like, funny ting is there was aontehr 400 w/t he SAME graphics as ours & THE SAME DAMN #, he just kept WIPING OUT, LOL eveyrone thought it was DJ!!
