I have bragged all week to anybody who will listen about how we hit perfect snow, rode 40 miles, slid every corner, and the whole group kept up for the entire time! YEEEEEEEEHAWWWWW!

I had so much fun the other day I took my wife there today. Thought it would be a nice leisure ride, wrong. She likes going fast to I guess. You think Sunday was good for sliding around, should have been there today. It was a little icy but not to bad, great conditions for power sliding around. Put about 45 miles on the quad today. Started snowing up there pretty darn good as we were leaving. I might head back up there Saturday with my brother...HINT>>>HINT>>>. Or another day ????????????????????

YODADDA and everybody else,
You are also right, a large group also helps. I dealt with some of the same land, trail, and other related issues to trails, maintenance etc. in the many years I was in a Jeep Club. With the way this sport is growing, I can see us (ATV groups) having a bigger voice and getting to the point to where we can have more say how trail systems are managed. Along with making ALL of the riding areas more quad friendly, and even trails specifically designed for us. There are numerous riding areas within the Puget Sound area that could be more available to us. Both ways are advantageous. It help to have large groups, but I also believe it equally helps to have large numbers of groups. I believe that is why the (PNW4WDA) Pacific Northwest 4 Wheel Drive Association is so successful. As you have learned when it comes to land matters, it helps to have numbers. I think we need to look long term at our "sport". It is definately here to stay and not just a "fad". There are quality people that you have involved in your Club and there is quality folks involved the Forum Group. To form two clubs and join forces and work together as good as I'm sure we all know we would, would speak immensely for the quality of the people involved and show how our sport is growing. Anyway, I look forward to discussing this amongst us all. Whatever decision we come to will be a good one. I think we all realize this won't happen over night. I look at it his way, our sport is so new and growing so rapidly, it really isn't organized yet. What we do, and how we do it, will really influence and pave the road for the future of this awsome sport. We have a great opportunity here.

We obviously already have WSQR. I think with the number of folks on the Forum, we could have a large Club like you guys do. With the number continually growing and people from different geographic locations, I think the possibility of groups splitting off to form their own Clubs over time is a definite possibility. As you suggested, those up North forming a group, etc.
I would submit that each group would continue to work together on issues, trail manintenance, land matters, and most of all riding together all the time. Unlike all the jeep clubs that mostly just work together on trail maintenance, but for the most part just ride amongst club members and not with other clubs.

Like I said earlier, had a good ride at the Rock today. It was a costly ride though. Wifes gloves were to big and bulky, and her fingers got coooollddddddd. Decided to stop at Paulsons to get a good pair of riding glove, didn't get them though. Well, they had a Suzuki LT80 sitting outside. They let me take it for a spin in the parking lot, dang those guys.....Biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiigggggggggggggg mistake. My kids are now the proud owners of their own little LT80. The trails will never be the same.........

re: clubs
i just thought i'd bring up something i've found searching around
there are already some other ATV clubs organized in west side of the puget sound, some even run NMA poker runs, & have other events.... but none of them look as involved as the WSQR appears to be or as you all are talking about... here's the websites of the two I know of: NWQA(northwest quad asoc.) and WATVA (WA ATV Assoc)
as far as i know, none of them have a competition division, or track ATV events of all types (www.quadsonly.com is a start in that direction)... that was why raptorchick has told me about the PNWQRA ( Pac NW quad Racers Assoc)... the status of which (right now)- i know nothing, other than bob latimar was trying to spearhead it & open tracks for quads in the NW. the scrambles that yodaddy is talking about would be the first of their kind in the NW.... the ATV only poker runs is an awesome start in that direction!
it seems to me unifying all of these clubs would help all involved... say, having different chapters and one group overall that also contains a competition division... & then word gets out to all members about events via meetings, website(also containing chat, forums, etc... to help local riders/racers, trail work, land issues, etc..), & newsletters for upcoming events... and as the case may be, races of all types.

Yup,
Unifying all these clubs would be a great idea. Bringing all together to work towards common goals for our sport is paramount. That is what WAATVA should be there for, but I'm not to familiar with them yet. You should have a bunch of "clubs" that can speak individually, and all those clubs make up an Organization that speaks for everybody in the bigger picture. Example, you have individual clubs that make up WAATVA. This would be a mirror image of the Pacific Northwest 4 Wheel Drive Association, which consists of many many Jeep/4wd clubs. This organization is pretty big and does good things to promote itself. Some of the individual Jeep/4wd clubs hold "playdays". Consisting of races, obstacle courses etc. They have points systems, etc.

about two inches already
there is literally about 20-30 cars piled up at the bottom on 15th at Guitarville. The occupants of all the vehicles standing by as another car comes sliding down the hill smashing into theirs.
I had to actually stop and tell people to get the heck off the road. (cars sliding into them) (dummmasssseesss)
Stopped a bus at the top of 15th as well (before the hill),,,,,,he would have killed them all. I told him to pull across 15th (blocking it) and turn his flashers on. (he actually listened to me).
Rex was directing traffic in the meantime.
The bronco was unstoppable (even when I wanted to stop) (that sticky right front rotor didnt help). Just kept it in 1st and had 0 problems.

Happ,
Hey there. How did you Canada trip go? Hope you had a good safe trip.
Tell Hollywood thanks for the Apple Pie today. Yodadda and myself snuck over while you were gone. Yodadda wore a Sean Connery mask and I wore a Clint mask. We got all the pie we wanted, or so we thought. BigDaddy must have know something was up, he showed up with a Happa mask on. Scared the bejesus out of us, thought we were dead. hope we didn't do to much damage to the back door. Next time we'll open it before we go out. But we didn't want any part of getting the HappRath. I'm sure he sat there RFLHOA while eating OUR pie. That BigDaddy is a smart fella.
Busy day tomorrow, so you all won't have to listen (I mean read) much junk from me.
Everybody have a very safe and happy New Year's Eve.

As far as the group stuff.
I think we should utilize the PSAR website (private) for these conversations. enough said...
Beyond that, I think we have a bunch of eager people wanting to turn our sqeak into a ROAR!
If it involves quads,,,,I'll be there (if realistic). I would be more than happy (eager) to head up or help out with any kind of North End duties.
