Just a quick question. How many of you are running with NO lids on there box. Does the PNW weather conditions even cause problems? I am going to a K&N w/outerwear and no lid this weekend. (need something to do)....

Hope everyone has a good holiday season.....

run it, really wet rides, you'll find ways around it, otherwise an outerwear is perfect!

The Z400 seat does a good job of protecting the airbox from splash. Unless you are submarining the bike to a level above the seat, you should be just fine. I haven't had a lid on mine since I added my Yosh exhaust and I do my fair share of riding in the wet. I run a K&N with adapter and outerwears. Not a bit of trouble. If you are in really wet riding conditions, just pull the plug in the bottom of the airbox when you stop for a breather just in case there's anything to drain.

Thats how I run my 400ex. I pulled the little drain out of the bottom, so the water that does get in the box, runs out.

Cut open lid on mine, not much lid left at all. I run a UNI filter, no problems.

Well, Lt80 paint project came to a halt ggggggrrrrrrrrrrr
I remember why I hate buying used stuff from people I don't know.
This LT has had more problems.....Pretty easy fixes though I guess, I will get it done

Found two cracks in the frame, dang it...........
So can't paint the frame now until I get them fixed up, ggggggggrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

But I got the other parts painted. I used the Dark Blue (not very dark) Hammerite
Looks pretty dang good
That stuff is just hard to paint.
Looks great when you get it on right, just takes some practice.......
