Take your Time and don't let them pressure you PugetsoundIslander. Be sure and evaluate all aspects of it. from where you could be stationed to what you'll be doing. when you sign thats 4 years... Each branch has a lil bit differnt package.
I was in the Army for 5 1/2 years. A four and an extenstion so I could go to Egypt. I had a kick azzed time. That is where I met taters at too

First off thank you Pugetsoundislander for going into the service to protect all us old folks you have never met. We all appriciate it for sure.

Your smart to look at all the services but I haven't heard you mention the Coast Guard. I have a young friend that is in that branch and from what he tells me it might be worth your while to check it out.

About the Army. My oldest son was in the tanks and served with honor. When his tour was up he joined the NG and was in that for a number of years. His major problem with the Army was how much trouble he had getting his collage money. It was always a problem getting them to honor their commitments. Something screwed up in the paperwork and they could never get it fixed.

Be very sure all the "i's" are dotted and "t's" crossed prior to signing on the dotted line.

Yeah they do play in the muddy waters allot
That's why you have to be at least 6 foot tall to join the coast guard. in case your boat sinks you can walk back to shore!

Now that's funny, when that kid gets back from his current duty I'm gonna tell him. I think he went to the gulf but I'm not sure, he never seems to know where he's going next.

Unless RG talked to a doctor, too, she miss heard me a little. My tibia has a platuea fracture. That means the tendon, or ligament was stronger then the bone. My doc said its all still together, but needs teh specialist to look at it. That appointment has to wait till Tuesday afternoon. I wish it would be sooner. Oh and the meniscus is tore up.

Not good my friend. A plateau fracture is what I had (still isn't right 25 years later) to my left knee. They bone grafted a piece of my pelvis in there and I carry 4 screws and 2 pins to this day. Airport security checks are fun. Even naked I would set the alarms off.

Bing and others,

Val created a database for the Easton Campout just add your info. If anyone wants anything other than what she added then just pm me and I'll tell her what you want her to add.

She also said there wasn't any problem when she went in maybe the site was down for awhile or something.

The wife and I will be taking a run down to East Fort Rock OHV area the 17th of May thru the 22nd. If anybody is interested in going let me know. We have rented a house just south of Sunriver as it is cheaper to take the little truck and trailer to carry the quads and rent the house that drive the big truck with the camper and tow the big trailer.
