It's not under warranty, I have it all torn down and have narrowed it down to a broke wire between the angle sensor and the ECU. (I think) The display flashes 12 times which means the error code of Bad ECU I can swap them between the two quads and it is the same deal so the ECU is good. Half way to the ECU the wires enter the main wiring housing which is a gaggle about 2 inches in diameter. I am afraid if I tear into that I will cause more damage than I already have. Any gurus on here wanna take a shot be my guest. I am a mechanical guy not an electrician.

Default Puget Sound/Seattle NW Area Riders Meet HERE!!!

Oh man, interesting weekend at Horn Rapids.
Weather was good.
The track looked awsome and lots of fun. We will definately go back next month.
Nice table tops, only a couple doubles. A fast and really nice track I thought.

Ash's quad literally fried the front clutch, never seen something melt like that. Didn't race the LT
Hay's locked up the rear end, didn't race the main. (although she had already decided to not race due to other stuff going on)

Ash ran the 250ex on the track. Man she was gonna tear it up out there. She was doing great on that thing, launching and airing it out really good.

Things came to a halt when one of the women with us wadded it up pretty good.
Ended up with 2 broken wrist.........Broke very bad, both requiring surgery.
The docs in Richland missed the broken knee and two broken ribs
Never took x-rays even though she was complaining about both.
they casted a swollen broken wrist, that swole up more and pushed the bone through her skin duh !!!!

Ash didn't do the womens main, Hay didn't do her main either (good thing cause hers would have locked up on her)
Atta girls to my girls. Racing came second this weekend to helping those in need.
They were worried about Rene', and helping get loaded up.

Ken (dsxbear) was there also.
Great to see you again.
Thanks a bunch for all your help. With Ash's quad and helping load up both camps
He did great on the track racing.....
I got pictures to prove it
He gave me his camera and let me take some pics of him, I think I got some decent ones for him.
Look forward to seeing ya at the next one. BTW, we won't make it to Washougal, gotta work .

Dude this thing is full of nothing but wires and conector's everywhere. Full Auto / ESP / HondaMatic Tranny / 2wd /4wd / lights / display I have 16 Conectors on the front above the radiator alone. I get confused just looking at it. I wish I had an engine problem then I would already be rollin.

I think I've also decided on my next qwad
OK, no thinking, I've decided

Ken let me pilot around his Suzuki 450
Although I only took it for a short ride, I'm sold on it....Hands down....
Nice ride, nice power, stable, comfy, great suspension, easy to turn.....Just awsome.
5th gear pinned down the dragstrip was a freaking hoot
Did some sweeping turns, tight turns......man that thing slid right around really nice.

I would probably even race it in the wussie class at Horn Rapids, that track looks fun and pretty easy for novice folks.

I can hardly wait.........
Anybody want to buy a Rincon
Oh wait, nevermind, I need that for the trails

Just b/c you can take things apart doesn't make you a mechanic. You have to be able to fix the problem and then put everything back together that makes you a mechanic. And I am glad that you said that you aren't an electrician, b/c you had a hard time reading the wireing diagram.

Hey bring the vinson too, incase your honda takes a dump while you are out there.

Not sure where it is on the Rancher, but should be up front somewhere.
Should be easy to replace, we did it on a buddies Recon.
Unlug old one, plug in new one...
Should be able to find a diagram online to show you where that sensor is.

You could try Hinshaws if you want to drive that far.
I've heard good things from others I know, but I've personally not had service there.

good Luck.....

Oh no, no more moving for me (hopefully). 2 moves in 2 years blows goats. I think this one is it. I do have some stuff i gotta get from Boise. Not really moving more like collecting (air tools, antique china set and some vintage motorbikes). don't know where i'm gonna put it all, gotta a 2 car garage that barely has enough room for the wifes Subaru.

The Angle Sensor itself is on the left hand side of the engine down low right above the belly plate. I have already swaped it with the other quad so the Angle Sensor itself is not the problem it is a short / break in the wire's between the angle sensor and the ECU.
