Good morning PSAR! It is a great day to be off of work. Has anyone heard from Bing???
Just got home from Harborview,,,,what a place. They took all my blood and gave me every test in the world,,,,twice. What they thought was a TIA,,,,was actually a regular stroke.

They found a hole in my heart,,,,,a blood clot from my leg went into my heart,,,thru the hole in my heart and into the left side of my brain. Had the hole not been there...good chance I could have died in Darrington that night.

Everything else was normal and healthy (had a hard time believing that).

There was a 41 year old guy in the ER that had the same thing as me,,,,and he is paralyzed on his entire right side.

I am home,,,,taking aspirin and saying my prayers,,,,,I feel very lucky and blessed to only have the problems that I do.

If this is the big Florence weekend,,,,you all have fun and drive safe.

Damn Bing, that is some scary chit there, thank the lord your ok. I'm relived to hear you don't have any of the stroke related after effects. Do they plan to do anything with the hole in your heart? That does not sound good at all.

Take it easy Bro your in our thoughts and prayers.

Dam Buddy That is some scaaaaarrry stuff... I'm thankful we did not loose you.
I second this.............MARK start taken better care of yourshelf !!!!!!!!!!!
It actually had nothing to do with that,,,,and I generally do bigD. A blood clot was the cause.

blood pressure 120/70,,,cholesterol 141,,,,,blood sugar 101

all blood tests were good

The entire Neuroligy staff considered this incident a 'freak and rare occurance'

oddly enough,,,,the injury that they think caused the blood clot was caused by my Raptor (damn yamahas)

One 81 mg baby asparin a day would have prevented this stroke. Maybe something to consider for everyone.
Damn boy, that was close!
You better switch to Hondas!
How's the re-coup going?

Mark - Happa and I are so sorry to hear about your very close call, we all take it for granted that all you youngins' are tuff as nails and no harm can come to any of you. Just goes to show us you never know what can hit any of us or when. You are in our thoughts and prayers for a speedy recovery so just take care of yourself and give Julie a hug for as I know this probably freaked her out with concern for you. It really sounds like you have been put through the ringer al week. Please let any of us know if there is anything we can do while you recover and hopefully we will see you sometime soon.

Val

apparently about 10-20% of the population has this condition whether they know it or not
as a baby we all have this hole ,,,and on some people,,,,it never closes as we grow as it should

I see a specialist soon to see what the future holds.

Doc told me to carry on as normal,,,,,exercise and such is OK,,,no restrictions. Just have to take my asparin.
