Nice pics, I was hoping you would ride that Z400 next weekend. That upper lot looks fairly good size. Are you gonna have some breakfast at the diner with the old guys?
Originally posted by: PowerRam100 I just got back from riding about 1/2 on the Naches Trail. At the end of the ride i took a swim in the river man that felt good!. The trail is SUPER DUSTY!!! My air filter got soo dirty the engine was bogging down. I had to take the air box lid off. I rode my Z400 and it wasnt bad It was pretty easy for me. I thought it would be alot harder than it was. I talked to a bunch of guys that said the trail isnt that bad. They said near the end is a good size hill climb and steep decent. Im thinking about bringing my Z400 to the ride. Here is some pics:

Went up to Darrington and camped with the Sandvig's yesterday and today. Out on our afternoon ride Ron and Kym tell Wunderboy and I to go ahead and take off so we can run fast and they were going to stick with Trev and catch up down the trail. So DJ is leading and spanking that 300 at full throttle pinned and his entire rear left hub with wheel comes off his quad. HOLY CRAP BATMAN, that was a dang scary wreck to watch. DJ is going to be sore tomorrow.
Wunderboy did a great job of holding it together long enough to find a softer spot to land and miss some bigger rocks along side of the road where he finally dumped it. I was only about 100ft behind him and all I could see was him going over the quad and then the quad flipping over him a couple times. Then he popped up at the end of the second end over end jumping out of the way of the quad that was still coming after him. By the time I pulled up, he was standing for that moment right after a really good crash when you take inventory to make sure you have all your parts with you and look back at the carnage of your equipment. After checking he was ok, I took off for like a shot to go get Ron and Kym, and when we got back, all Kym could say was she was glad she wasn't riding with us to witness it.
The wheel/hub assembly is still completely MIA. Kym and Ron searched the bushes for a good hundred yards back before the skid marks and 30' into the woods. That sucker is GONE! Battery was in the middle of the road 10' from the quad and let's just say, it doesn't look like any amount of zip ties are going to be able put the plastics back together.
I would love to post the pics I have but the MSN PSAR site isn't responding. I will try again in a bit. And try to post Florence and Easton pics.
Glad your ok Wunderboy. Thanks again for the good entertainment.

Oh and the Z LIVES!!! And the main trouble was......Toasted CDI. I had jetted it lean, too. Wunderboy rejetted for me and it didn't help at all. The reverse light was still on(has been since Rock Candy) unless I revved really high then it would fade out until I let off the throttle then back to on solid. Put the stock CDI back on the quad this morning and VIOLA! It is now the quad I was trying for when I started the project. Awesome! It does hit the rev limiter, but only at the top of the curve where it should for a stock CDI. No reverse light unless I am in reverse. Just need another aftermarket CDI and it should be golden! Didn't even ride my R450 this weekend. Good Mornin PSAR,
Bill, glad to hear weeman is ok, you equiped him well.
Kym I'm glad DJ is ok as well, both of these accidents could have had a much worse outcome.
Julie's eye is looking better by the day. This new Doc has done wonders for her and best off all no cornea transplant. She has a small cloud left on her cornea but her vision is improving, she's off all the antibiodics and down to steroid drops 3 times a day. She was out and about this weekend and back to her old self
