Jayna, are you heading to Coos in August?
The 19th-23rd?
I know you were thinking about it. That's when we'll be down there. Jim Searles will be there too and I think Joel and Jolene are coming down for the weekend.
I was planning on it, but with my schedule change and workgroup change it's become shakey. I have reservations down there with Jim's group, but I am still trying to work out the time off that I previously had and not sure if I can afford the fuel bill for only 2 days down there. Now, being on the bottom of the seniority list is possibly putting me in a jam for time off in the summer. I haven't called Jim to cancel yet because I am still trying to get down there for the weekend at least. I have to see. I am hoping to know for sure this week.

I have confirmed that I am making the September trip.

Thanks Sean,
Nate's doing good. He has been back at Camp Anaconda for about two weeks now, packing everything up and then moving to Warhorse (Baquba area) for the remainder of his time in Iraq. Hopefully he'll be heading to Kuwaitt in October so he only has a couple more months in Iraq. FOB (Forward Operating Base) Warhorse is in a nasty area with lots of terrorist activity. The command likes how his unit handled that area on a temporary assignment so now they get to go there permanently for the remainder of his deployment. Oh joy of joys! Hopefully he'll keep his head down. He had his goggles shot off the top of his helmet in a firefight about a month ago. His best buddy took two rounds in the chest but his kevlar stopped them! Thank God for body armour!

WOW...........
Thanks for the update.
We wish him well and continued safety, along with all the others in harms weigh............
Sounds like he is doing his job well, he should be proud..........As you and Cindy are I know.

Good Luck

Justin and I were just talking about this last night. The group that i go down with is going to be down there that week/weekend too. Jim Searles, The Newmans, Tp's crashing buddy is going to be down there along with their racing buddy's (i can never remember their names). Joel and Jolene know who i'm talking about. Anyways i was telling Justin that there is no way that i can get a week off work and still go hunting for a week in October/November. So i was thinking about possibly going down on the weekend. Justin might go down for the full week.

Joel or Jolene, if it's cool with you guys and i do end up going, can i ride down there with you guys and hitch hike a ride back too?? I will no more when it gets closer.

Sean, if you are planning on getting the extreme haulers (straight paddle) a good place to get them is SMI Motosports. They are located in Oregon. That's where i got Justin's and it took 2 days to get to my door, and Justin loves them.

Ten, In you sig. the above quote was alway that there was no limit on stupidity. I know that genius has limits.
Yup, that's what it says, no limit on stupid but genius has it's limits.

Just found out a few minutes ago we have friends arriving Saturday morning. Have to meet them at the airport so no ride for me this weekend. Seems like every time I have a chance to go on an outing something comes up. Maybe next week.

Way to close for comfort. That warrior is the third young man I know of that the body armor has saved. When you contact your son let him know he and his pals are in our prayers.
