I have been wondering about using a portable boat tank as an auxiliary fuel tank on a quad. Since they come in a range of capacities and are specifically built to withstand vibration and shock loads it seems to me they would be ideal for this use. The thickness of the plastic in the tanks I have on our boat is considerably thicker than that in the fuel containers from Wal-Mart or Schuck's. Anyone have any experience using these as fuel carriers on quads?

Well, at least it's not safe if the gas can has a hole in it. Doh! This kind of action helps cleanes the gene pool.
