Note to anyone thinkin about pullin their flywheel.. Invest in a quality puller I bought a puller from bike shop.. and it was for a threaded hub flywheel.. raptors don't have a threaded hub but instead take a 3 prong puller dea with some 6mm x 4"+ bolts. well i went to napa and they didnt have a puller with the right bolts. so i went to shucks. they had a cheap china puller.. I figure all hell it will work. i couldnt come up witha sheave holder so i used a strap wrench. well i put the china puller on and the bolts wasnt long enough to utilize the pointed tip to keep it centered. well not wanting to drive 45 minutes to the hardware store to get the right bolts i thought i would try with out the point on the puller.. Well it ended up smashing the end of the crank and bustin the puller. so now im just like FOCK FOCK FOCK.. well the neighbor rides up on his KTM 400 and i ask him since he is a sled head if he happens to have a puller thats not a piece of chit.. He said ride over to my shop and we'll look and see if i got sompin.. Well he had a Matco puller and various attachments for it so i borrowed that one. well it took so much torque to pop the flywheel loose that it drove the puller shaft into the crank and flaired the end big time.. Now im really like what the fock am i gonna do.. well i took an air grinder and ground the end of the shaft down to where I thought i could chase the threads with a die. Now i go on a wild unproductive goosechase to find a die for approx 14mm shaft.. All i could find was a 12mm die so fock. I had a big set of standard dies and found that a 1/2 x 18thread would thread in the nut. it was a lil loose but at this point my only option to get the shaft back true and cut some threads in. Of course the die holder had to long of handles so couldnt use that.. had to use a big socket and spin and spin and shave the shaft till i could get the washer on.. thencut the threads out with a triangle file and got the nut on.. What an ordeal though.. I have a nack for turning a hour project into at least a day .. New flywheel Definatly Though i think i coulda lost another lb off it

CoosBay is still calling your name...
Wish I could, but duty calls. I am working this weekend at the mariners games. Much rather go riding but new bars are in need first.
ya, new bars
Um, Wha'd ya do to yer bars?
Long story. That's the one that TP was supposed to be saring. Short version--- TOOOO fast for the corner-two wheels up-four wheels over- Fasteddie flyin.
Some of those corners out there sneak up on you. Good thing it was only handlebars that were damaged.

Did anyone get video or pics? You all know the rule...Pics first, then help.
Haha YES they do(the corners ) I've missed a couple myself & so has Ron!! Glad to hear you weren't hurt & know how to tuck & roll
I only had one incident this weekend & that was w/ the chitter tank on the bus somone left my pump on & it emptied the water tank into the bathroom so I went out to empty it into our extra tank & BAM there was chit everywhere!!! Kyle & DJ's faces were PRICELESS!!!!!!!!!!! got it fixed up but don't let anyone borrow your doodoo hose, especially when they DON'T put a clamp on it!!!! I will say I steered clear of the DOODOO

WQ CONGRATS to your nephew thats cool he's getting into racing!! You gonna bring him to Monroe?? They have arenacross on Sun.?? Should get him flattrackin' too, makes them a better all around rider!!! You should check into the Mudslinger's 4-H group he'd like that I bet, once Trev is old enough he will be doing it!!

I will say my nephew Austin got Grand Champion for his 4-H stuff @ the fair on his quad his 1st year out there that is COOL!! He also got Reserve Champ in something else

My aunt sent me this so it must be true. Considering I rarely drink my family seems to send me a great deal of alcohol related information.

WATER...... It has been scientifically proven that if we drink 1 liter
of water each day, at the end of the year we would have absorbed more
than 1 kilo of Escherichia coli bacteria found in feces, in other
words, we are consuming 1 kilo of poop!

However, we do not run that risk when drinking beer because alcohol has
to go through a distillation process of boiling, filtering and
fermenting.

WATER = Poop

BEER = HEALTH

Free yourself of Poop, drink BEER!!! It is better to drink beer and
talk chit than to drink water and be full of chit.

There is no need to thank me for this valuable information, I am doing
it as a public service.

when Josh was rebuilding my DS Motor, I had to wait for a puller from the east coast, even the dealer claimed not to have one in their shop (you know that Lacey place). Josh finally took it to work to use his larger more powerful impact gun to get it off

thats how i broke the first puller hit it with the 350lb impact and well yeah it cracked it apart and stripped the puller.
