The hospitol in tacoma seems to think Moose has come in contact with Lepto.. They are doin ultrasound biopsy of kidneys and liver and fillin him full of fluids and more bloodwork and urinalysis.. Poor moose. he will be so happy to go home. 3 days at this place.

moose is a 4.5 yr old Mastiff. Big *** dog.. and eats as much as a horse.

I was just looking at muddys vet records and he wasn't vaccinated for lepto either. Of course he only had puppy shots and 1 yr shots and that was all he ever got.. and all i would ever give a dog.. Vaccinations aren't always the best answer. Kinda like a flu shot in people.

 

That sucks that he doesn't feel good.

I keep my dog updated on his rabies. He has had all of his shots up to date. The only ones he has every year now is rabies, and the kennel cough one. I guess there is a new shot coming out for dogs and cats. From what my vet said, it is for pets that usually drink out of ponds. There is something in the dirt watere that is getting the animals sick. I will give my dog anything to keep him healthy.

yup that sounds about right lol i never vaccinated for lepto cause with my chihuahuas or any small breed tend to have allergic reactions to the lepto ..... parvo is kinda like chicken pox extreamly contagious when they are little but after 1 year they dont normally get it and if they do get parvo then no need for the shot anyway if they live through it then they build an imune to it (hopefully that made scence lol)
