Default Puget Sound/Seattle NW Area Riders Meet HERE!!!

lol...
I'm just kidding you, I know you have been lamed up for awhile. But everything you listed is what some of us do plus work 40 hours a week,
Yep, that's exactly why I would never want a normal persons job. I feel fortunate to have the job and benefits that I have. Although I work 24 hours at a time (3 average work days), I wouldn't trade it for anything. I feel bad for normal people that have to work 40 hour weeks (of which most are more than 40 hrs these days). My hat is off to those people. Especially if you have a family, makes for a busy life. Gotta respect those people that make the most out of it

Heapster,

Good to see another pred on this thread... Gotta be careful though, they're a little sensitive here... Start smack talkin' the 660's and things come alive around here... They're just jealous cause they need the extra 160cc just to take second

i suggest a camelback or other portable hydration method too.
So if I have this figured correctly, come race day I'm paying $30.00 for two laps/12 miles on my 4 person team Larry
Not if you pin that throttle and scoot your little butt around that track .
Guess I'll have to keep me and my Rinny home so HappaLikesToGo50mph can race around that track to get his money's worth, me and the "tank" will be the slowest on the track anyway.
And you did figure wrong, I think.4 hour race = 240 minutes240 minutes divided by 20 minute laps = 12 laps (assuming 20 minute laps, which I'm sure we'll (you'll) be faster than that )
12 laps divided by 4 people = 3 laps each, not 2
I was just figuring 30 minutes per lap for me, that's how I arrived at that figure

I went to the WAC meeting tonight,(made it afterall, traded shifts @ work) great attendance... don't know how many, but no chairs were left... 40? 45? 50? the meeting went very well... they started a petition to get RMC open to quads again, announced that pro rider Kory Ellis will be teaching a MX riding course in july & had a sign-up sheet, talked about the easter event @ oakwood 4/10. and much more....

happa... $30 for two laps? c'mon i paid $40 for three at horn rapids 2 weeks ago... and i was off the track & done in about an hour. i know you can make more than 2! get to goldendale this weekend & prove it to yourself! cut down the # of riders on your team if you want more track time for your $$$.

joelrichard- i keep getting tempted to get one of the new 450 thumpers too... no space, too much debt already, i'd have to modify it (nature of the beast for racing).... i can count $3k in mods i'd want to put on, just to make it 'worthy'

I'm beginning to rethink the 4 man team, it will cost each person $30.00 no matter if they ride 2 or 4 man team in the amature class. Seems to me for the distance you travel and the total cost involved it would only make sense to run a 2 man team in the amature class. I need to discuss this with my team members, see if they want to split into 2 teams. I think Cheech and Yam926 will be a good matchup, Quad4Fun and Myself will be the other. Just need to take an extra shot of geritol that morning and the day before I'll be there Saturday, taking it easy on the MX portion, and ripping on the GP portion, it'll give me some idea on the stamina issue (old man syndrome)

I had forgotten to mention this before, and was reminded about it at the WAC meeting last night. Just in case anyone is interested, Goldendale, has a peewee track. They are encouraging everyone to bring the whole family for the team race and practices.
The little ones can ride all they want on the kids track.

Ok, here goes. I feel like I'm writing a personal add or something! lol

I need a partner for the team race!

I am willing to race in either the women's class or amature class. I'm not the fastest rider out there, but I'm not the slowest either. I would prefer a two person team. If you need a partner or know someone who does, please let me know. You can email me at nwquadracers@yahoo.com, or if you want to talk to me in person, I will be at the Goldendale practice this Saturday. I will be on a black and white craptor, race #426.
