Im just glad somebody else knows how to crash.
It sounded like a good time.
Idaho has one less 6x6 elk after our first weekend in the woods.
It was a fun mile long pack back to the quads in a foot of snow.
We have guys staying in the forest until the season ends on November 3rd.
Theres nothing like muddy and bloody bikes.

Bonehead congrats on the elk.. Right on
Hey this place you all went to in Easton, is that the same place they used to call the coal hills up by Salmon la sac exit off I-90? We used to ride up there alot back in the late 80's till they closed down a whole bunch of it. You were able to camp by the river up there for free. Havent been in years, I figured they ended up shuting it all down. Sounds like you had a great time.
As far as Tahuya, Ive been going up there for years...Every time I think I know my way around we end up lost...Again..Easy to do up there. So if you have a map, might as well leave it in your pocket, confuses the crap out of me every time I try and make sence of it.. With all this rain better bring a snorkel, the place holds alot of water. Sounds like fun!! Is everyone meeting at Effendahl Pass staging or another site?
We found another riding area close to Tahuya called Wildcat mountain staging area, I havent ridin it yet just checked out the parking lot and trail head one day, they had maps and outhouse. I just happen to drive by on my way to a job. Its off Holly road more towards Seabeck..
Anyway have fun on the 25th, I would like to meet up there but headed to Florence next weekend to throw some sand..

Bill
I remember being behind you for a good peroid of time and having to dodge your mud and water sprays, that's what I get for following so closely. Rusty was riding right around you most of the day, he was impressed the way you were motoring around Easton, he said, man Bill had that blaster humming down the trails, he was cooking!!!
I think I'm going to fabricate a snorkle this week Seen pictures of Tahuya, you get some really deep puddles, looking like small ponds might have to skirt around some of them, that is if there is any high side to go on.
A question for anybody who's been to Tahuya, are there any places where you can open it up alittle, I know there's probably not alot of open logging roads or gravel roads, but is it all first and second gear techincal, or is there a pretty good amount of variety?

We are going to go to Longview on the 25th. They have a MX track that they race on and they have an ATV track and trails to ride on. So RaptorChick and Racer-X can ride also.
We have been to Tahuya. Most of it is 1st and 2nd gear then you hit a access road for some speed trails cross over the access every where.
RaptorChick dose not really care for the tight trails after getting the DS to climb a tree at Evens Creek. So we normally stick to Dunes and MX. There's no trees in those areas.

So does this Wildcat Mountain area sound or look like a small area or fairly large or does anybody know?
Also, how deep of water crossings is everybody willing to go through at Tahuya or other riding area's?

Checked out some pictures from Belfair from Kraw, that were taken in May 2003, for as little rain as we did have this year, that place was flooded, deep and muddy, and the trails are wicked, talk about tree roots, man, I've never seen them that big
I think I better go trade the Raptor in for a 4x4 on my day off this week

I had a good time at the races in Woodland today. I think I am going to give it a try next time. So do we know how many people are going to Tahuya? By the way it was nice meeting LokiDs650 and Raptorchick at the races.
