People interested in the ORV Noise solutions project,
I just discovered that the link to the on-line version of the Adolfson ORV Noise Study does not contain the "www" and thus does not work. I apologize for this omission. The correct link is: http://www.iac.wa.gov/Documents/IAC/...tions_proj.htm

Subject: ORV Noise Solutions Report - Comments Needed
People interested in the ORV Noise Solutions Project,
In 2006, the state Legislature passed a bill directing the Office of the Interagency Committee (OIAC, a state agency) to review existing laws regulating ORV noise and provide recommendations on equipment for enforcement, model ordinances, education, and a grant program.
To assist with this effort, OIAC appointed an advisory committee and hired a consulting firm to undertake research on laws in Washington and other states affecting ORV noise, conduct public workshops, develop an on-line questionnaire, draft a model ordinance, and make recommendations.
ESA-Adolfson Associates and a subcontractor specializing in acoustics, Geomatrix Consultants, Inc., have now completed their work and OIAC would like your feedback on their final report.
- You may download a copy of the report by following this link http://iac.wa.gov/Documents/IAC/Gran...tions_proj.htm
- Or contact Amie Fowler at AmieF@iac.wa.gov (360-902-3086) for a hardcopy.
Please send us your feedback by 5 pm, January 2, 2007 after which time we will compile all comments for presentation to the 2007 Legislature along with the Adolphson/Geomatrix report.
For further information on the ORV Noise Solutions project, please feel free to contact me.

Thanks for the update. I tried the web site this morning and still couldn't open it. This explains why. I was about to call them again but no need now. Odd they did not send me an e-mail as I gave them my address and ask for any information.
We need to stay after this.
The genny is fueled up and it starts, the BBQ has propane, the flash light has batteries and the BIG flashlight is charging and I have a garbage can full of mill ends for the wood stove. BRING IT ON!!!!!
Hey Guys!
It?s been awhile since I have been on here. I only have dial up and things can be a little slow on this site.
I am up for the ride on Saturday at Tahuya. Where are you meeting up? Hopefully we won't need the chainsaws after this wind storm.
