Sorry to say it,,,,but I am reconsidering as well. Having a hard time justifying the trip.
Just got to thinking about it at Easton this weekend.

The conditions that were at the WORCS race this weekend are not the same as will be at the team race. There will be no dirtbikes there so the track will not get as chewed up as it did for WORCS.
This team race is supposed to be for fun, you do not have to be competitive. If you are unsure of something on the track, go slow and just roll through. We need everyone's support on this event, so don't be a wuss![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]

I think one important point to make here for everyone participating in the Goldendale race is to try to be unnderstanding for those that have had a change of heart about participating. Even though we all made plans pretty early to go, things do tend to pop up that can alter that plan or just the fact that the race itself is on Sunday makes it a huge decision for some to attend afterall.
That is pretty far to go if you have an early Monday morning to deal with.
Yes, it is important to try to get involved for the sport and show strength, but it is also our responsibility to respect the decision our friends make that cannot or choose not to participate.

I understand how some can have a change of heart. I know that racing is intimidating, and I can completely sympathize with anyone who has an early Monday morning. I have to be at work by 6:30am the next day. I have already told my boss that I may not be there Monday morning if things go horribly wrong for me on the track, which I am hoping they don't!
I think that most of us are just trying to stress the importance of our support of this event to ensure the furture of events like it.

I in no way was directing my note to anyone in general and I was including my own husband in it too! Just was trying to remind those that do feel strongly to remember these are friends first.
