When we had kids in the house, ours, neighbors, foster kids et al, I kept a box of "Muzzle Protectors" in the gun room. Told the kis when they went hunting to always be sure they had their rifles and shotguns muzzles covered cause I didn't want any dirt or rain in the bores.

Never had any "firearm accidents".

Oh man. [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-blush.gif[/img] My gun gets wet alot when im hunting. heck i even had to take the stock off after 2 weeks ago cuz it was full of water. and i aint speakin in a metaphorical sense of my wiener like ten [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] I been swimmin a fewtimes and had to use my gun for an oar.. Neoprene waders will float you [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img] Funniest chit was sunday. its 13deg outside with iceflows comming out of the river into the bay. My brother shot this mallard and it went down about 600 yards out. so we took the boat about half way till we was on the sand then he walked thru this lil ditch up onto a lil island and walked out to get the bird thru the shallows. comming back i had been walking the boat down the channel tryin to get it closer. well hel jumped off the side of the grass island and he thought it was about knee deep like where he crossed going out.. it was over 6' deep [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] the look on his face when his feet didn't hit and that ice water got him [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img] priceless. whats the best part of it. about 5' to either side its only knee deep and the hole was maybe 6' across. Glad I wasn't east, of course north wasn't a picnic either. 36 degrees and slush up here in Vancouver B.C. right now, this morning was a different story [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]
