Hollywood,
If you are going down to OR, I would go to Coos Bay. It really does have something for everyone. Plus it's huge! It's a great place for beginners too. I think it has fewer hazzards to watch out for than Florence. It also has plenty of places for the boys to test their testosterone levels. You can also ride out to the beach, just like Florence and Winchester.
The campground (Horsfalls) has showers but it may be tough to get a reservation on Memorial weekend. Personally, out of the big three down there, I like Coos Bay the best.

Why should I work, that's why I send lovely Hollywood off every morning with a kiss and a goodbye so I can play on the computer all day

I thought the only place you could ride on the beach was SandLake, am I mistaken?

Raptorchick,

Thanks for the info!! I know it may be too late for reservations but thought I might see if it is possible. Having the 3 days off it would be nice to go somewhere and not have to use a vacation day like we usually do for those long week-ends we keep having

You can ride out to the beach from Winchester, Florence and Coos Bay. It's nice and flat on the beach. Good place for drag races.
Florence and Coos have some really awesome high speed sand trails running parallel behind the beach too. I think those trails are one of my favorite things there!

Hollywood,
Don't worry if you can't get reservations for camping. There are lots of motels. We stayed at the Budget Inn in Reedsport one night. $59 for three adults and a child. It was pretty nice too.
It may cost more over the holiday weekend though.

Just a reminder the speed limit on the beach is 25. If you want to go to Sandlake you need to get a pass for that weekend. You can not ride on the beach at Winchester.
