you dont NEED sand tires to ride in the sand my first sand trip i had nobbies. paddles are better but not a need
I put 25" Mudlites on the Wolverine because I wanted something that would do well in sand or mud and didn't want to drop the coin on 2 sets of tires for it. I am absolutely happy with the Mudlites.

Good Morning PSAR

Who ordered this cold North wind? Should have worn a coat when the mutt and I went for our morning walk.

Good Afternoon PSAR. Where did the sun go, it is raining again.

Our "Stable" is now full. I picked up Alida's new/used bike last night. I got a '04 Artic Cat DVX 400. It has AC Pro Nerf Bars w/ Heel Guards, Big Gun slip on (NO COWBOY, SLIP, NOT strap ), Air box eliminator(putting stock back on) & a full set of haulers. Pretty good condition, a couple of broken plastic mounts, but no big deal.

Did the DVX have the same problems that the LTZ had, some kind of coolant problem?? Let me know.
Congrats on the new quad!! What exactly is the air box eliminator?
It's a setup that bolts the air filter directly to the carb with no airbox. designed to improve airflow, but not practical in wet conditions.
Do you have any recent experience with riding in wet conditions with without an airbox???? Please do tell... .
And I had my airbox and even an outerwears lid Not that it did much more than strain the mud out of the water going in the airbox. I remember Happa used to run no airbox on his Rappy. It didn't seem happy at Rock Candy.
I have a cut lid with the plug removed from the bottom of the airbox.. and I hit puddles fast when i rode... look at them EHS racing lids or whatever if you want more flow and still keep the water out.. All dinger had was a outerwears airbox cover and he would spalsh puddles fast too

There's a guy in Coos Bay with a Grizzly 700 that runs Skat Trak 8 paddle Haulers on all four wheels. It's not needed, but it wouldn't hurt
There is a guy in oregon with an outty 800 with ITP dune stars on all 4's too.

i used to keep the stock airbox lid above the clips,,,and run no bung,,,,,foam filter with outerwear

Only time I ever ingested some muddy water was when I soaked Jenna and Nickli in the fast deep puddles at Easton when they wouldnt move over
