The "Old Guys" (tencubed and myself) are gonna ride the roads at Capitol Forest on Monday the 12th. Going to check out the different campgrounds around the Forest. Meet time is 10 AM at "The Place" for brealfast and then ride out of Rock Candy. Anyone interested is invited.
This ride is on an indefinate hold, for SUNSHINE! The two old farts see no reason to ride in the rain when we can just wait a few days and ride in the sunshine.
I thought old farts liked riding in the rain, just to show off to the younger guys

better then a medical bill for your back when it falls on you, or you hurt it trying to move it right?

good afternoon everyone....well we went on a ride today in elbe..i now know it pays to pay attention i was fartin around and went through a puddle that had a rut in it. and i tipped my quad for the first time we all had a good laugh over it
Do you go by a scupture park on the way to the riding area? Just past the railroad tracks?
are you talking the place with all the metal statue things? if you are then yup we do.....
That's my cousin's place. Stop by sometime and say hi... his name is Dan.
so does he make all that stuff himself? its very creative
He makes them himself: Dan Klennert

If you go into his gallery, he shows another cousin's scuptures as well.

He may have it closed right now for the winter, but you can walk around the grounds and look at the sculptures. He also makes the sculptures on the lake bed nearby. You can see them from the road in the summer.
My wife must have taken at least a thousand pictures at that place over the years. We stop at least once a year by ourselves and then a couple of times for visitors.

Morning PSAR!!

I finally got all the corroded stuff out of my radiator bottle. I had the simple green soaking it all night long and yesterday morning I shook it but none of it came off. So I took Tne's idea and put 3 nuts in the bottle and shook the hell out of it. All of it finally came out. I rinsed the bottle out really well and let it dry for half of the day, before I put the coolant back in.
did you figure out what is causing the build up in there?
No i didn't. I wonder if it has to do with me being on a well. I asked the neighbor if his Z400 has done it and he said yea, but it wasn't as bad as mine.
Distilled water only in the cooling system on aluminum engines. It has no minerals and if they aren't there can't react with the metal or the anti-freeze. You should only use distilled water in batteries too.
