Morning all..........
Haven't been on here for a while, to long to try and catch up.............
Anything exciting going on?????????

Cheechy,
didn't have a number to call ya to see how you are doing.
How is the recovery going?? Good I hope.....

Had a great weekend and a terribly costly weekend at the same time down in Victorville.
Ash had a fatal "collision" with somebody trying to pass her when they shouldn't have.
Split her swing arm, snapped tie rod end, and broke a few welds on the frame.... ggggrrrrr. Got a dnf and a 4th.
Gonna take a bit to fix. But, I got a frame and stock swing arm to get us by for now.
Looking into a lonestar swing arm. Just got to get a welder now to help fab up some motor mounts and stuff.
Her frame was a POS already, had to weld a few times where it cracked.
The positive was that they had a practice track that she rode a lot. She overcame her fear of trying doubles and step ups. The ear to ear grin on her face when she finally cleared a pretty good double was priceless. Her confidence went up tremendously and it showed in her first race , until the crash. The boys better really look out now

Need to finance all of Ashley's quad repairs and upgrades.

Trailers gotta go........... e-mail for more info or if interested

24' Interstate Sled trailer - color is gray - 24'x8' (I believe it's a 2005 model)
7,000 lbs gvwr
no wheel wells to get in the way
finished and insulated inside
Painted floor with anti slip deck paint, havn't done rear ramp yet though.
4" or 6" diamond plate trim around inside bottom
Chrome wheels
spare tire
will hold 6 full size quads without stacking, and still leave front V for gear, etc.

Even if the quad was titled in Washington, you still would have to pay sales tax.
Far as I know the only time you don't pay sales tax on a title transfer is a gift within a family. Father to daughter or something like that.
You can gift a vehicle to anyone you want. It doesn't need to be family. However, a gifted vehicle can never be gifted again.
So we should save it for later then?
Went to the Washington DOL site but can't get the forum to pick up the address. Something is goofy about our internet hookup today. At any rate, go to the DOL site, click on "vehicle registration" then "buying and selling" from the drop down menu. Under "Use tax" you will find your answer. No mention of using a gift only once per vehicle or it having to be a family member.
My Dad gifted a truck to me, I tried to gift it to my son. No can do! Was told at the licensing office that you can only gift the same vehicle once. The registration of the gifted vehicle says "gifted" on it.
You can only gift once before you have to pay tax again. Once it is sold again, the "Gift" tag comes off the title, I do believe.
Guess I'm gonna find out the expensive way. Gave a Stepvan to my daughter a few years ago and am getting it back. Looks like I'm the one that gets to pay the fees. But then, what are dad's for. Gotta take care of our little girls, even when they are 40 years old.
