It depends what you like to do.. The sandstars get an insaine amount of hookup but not so good for dragging.
I am here to say Sandstars SUCK on a 700. Get 21 or 22 inch haulers with 8 paddles. They will do the best.
I can't argue with that, I just didn't want to offend anyone that thought sandstars were the chit
I had the 700 in a hole at Sandlake. It had the sandstars on it. I started to get worried, didn't think it was gonna make it out. I put on the haulers and presto, hill climbing fool. It seemed easier to ride wide open and to carve, with the haulers.
As a 700R owner for 20 months and running both Haulers and Sandstars for the past year, here's my opinion:

Haulers will give you an advantage in drag racing if all other factors are equal.
Sandstars will carve easier and sometimes will break the rear loose too much with too much throttle.
Sandstars will hookup like crazy (just watch up comming video from Jayna).
I had no problem with any treeshot, launch pad (except for the one) or hillclimb at Florence, Winchester or Coos Bay.
Sandstars climbed Banshee Hill II, (the new route to the left of original route) flawlessly.
Haulers, especially 22's, will throw a ton more roost than Sandstars, be careful who you ride behind.

This past week, I started out with 20" Sandstars, switched to 22" Haulers then switched back to 20" Sandstars, I just had more fun on them, I had to work the Haulers more to get them to do what I wanted. On the beach trail at Florence I would two wheel more with the Haulers (just ask Rod) and could hang closer to Jayna with the Sandstars.

Haulers are great tires, everybody uses them.
Sandstars are great tires also for a general dune play tire.

I'll go down any treeshot with my Sandstars that you'll go down with your Haulers, (just don't let Val know) Banshees excluded
Do you think that you liked the 20" Sandstars better because they're smaller? Maybe they work better with the mods that you have.

Deciding what type and size of tire to get is driving me crazy. I'm just going to have to buy something and see if I like it.

Just messin wit ya Larry

Heading down to the Honda Shop, Julie & Shaina are getting a new 07 450ERF---- black with flame graphics
I got steel dreams to make me a deal I couldn't pass up. Was going to get a KFX 450 but there just more money than I'm willing to spend on a second quad so I'm getting this one for the ladies to ride at the dunes and I can go on trail rides with you guys once in a while
7399 plus tax here (MSRP) for the white and black and the green and black. The all black with flam graphics and black wheels is 7599. Yeah a honda is better for the ladies (heh heh heh).

I'm very happy with the new quad although it needs to lose a couple teeth on the back sprocket. Top speed by gps 69.7mph and 1st gear is way too low.

I can't believe anybody needed proof. You should put a crf450 motor in there. Or a brp 800 v-twin. might need a can of axle grease and a shoe horn though.
