If I don't have pockets or my pack, I sometimes will attach the carry case to my suspenders inside my jacket under my chest protector. I am squishy enough that if I take a spill, it's about as protected as it's gonna get. Hate to think of busting my camera when my skill and ability takes a hike and I get dumped off.
