How old is Ur daughter? I started my boy out on an 1984 lt50 when he was about 2 1/2. Bought it used and cheap and sold it for its worth in some great race parts. Had it for about 5-6mo and just let my boy ride it in the back yard and a pasture. Before his 3rd birthday I picked up a new 2stroke Kymco Mongoose 50 from KentKawi for $1300. We have had the quad 2 yrs now and love it. It has done great at everything we thrown at it. The only exception being as he is getting more and more into racing we are having to be creative with race parts and mods.

Kawasaki 50's and 90's are now built by Kymco just a few $'s more and all the new quads are 4strokes. Like I said ours is a 2stroke and I have seen a couple on craigslist for decent prices. The new 4strokes I don't have actual experiance with, but we soon will be upgrading to the Kymco Mongoose 90 for trail riding and the DUNES. Our 50 is getting too specialized towards just MX so the little guy gets to be spoiled and have two quads.

Others on here have had good experiances with other brands and can tell U their choices. Not in any order of preference but some of the better mini quads to look into are, Kymco/Kawasaki,Kasea,Polaris,Suzuki,Eton and for MX only, the National leader has been the new DRX 50's but don't know if it would last a day ride in the dunes without some wrenching.

You don't cross the creek, you drive past the turn off to the Beverly Dunes and go past the little gas station, you will see the sand dune and the hill on your left. You park across the road on the right and go have a blast. Way better than Beverly or Moses in my opinion as there's hills to climb and real sand that resembles the oregon sand. The only draw back is there is a very limited area to park.

 

I wanna go ...I would like to trailer pool if someone has room...
