Hey
I am buying the suzuki 450 and I have never bought a bike all by myself.
I was wondering if there is anything I should look out for or ask for.
The bike is $6690 + $400 set up at Hinshaws.
Any input before I do this today?

Understand it's a very wide bike that will make trail riding a challenge. Not impossible, but a bit more interesting. You will have to watch for wrist breakers much more closely. Other than missing my reverse gear every now and then, I LOVE my LTR450. Oh, and I put 20" holeshots on it to improve the ground clearance. Have fun shopping.
I would make them eat the "setup fee" And I wouldn't suggest the extended warranty, but that's just me.
MAKE SURE YOU ASK FOR THE OTD(Out the Door) PRICE when negotiating so they can't tack any other fees on after you get hooked into the deal.

Hi LdyJay
Thanks for the input. I am keeping the kawasaki kfx400 with the extra stuff on it for the trails and the suzuki is for the sand.
I am really bad at fighting about prices and so forth. How do I get them to eat the set up fee as you where saying. Any advice or help there would be great. I suck at neg on stuff. I got the set up at $400 and the bike at 6690 and thats what they are asking. Do I try to lower it at all and how? Thanks so much you rock and I cant wait to ride with ya...

Is the price with tax & license or is it in addition.
Is this for and 06 or 07??
Let me know before you buy.

You should take Ray with you if you can. Backup of a good negotiator is a good thing.
As far as OTD price, find out the maximum you are willing to pay and stick hard with that number. Be willing to walk out the door without the quad. They will try to get you to pay even $100 more than your max price, WALK AWAY.
I am not a great at haggling either.
If it's your dune machine, you will LOVE IT. I can't say enough great things about mine on the dunes. When you get it, we will have to chat about dune setup and stuff.
