We did a poker run out of Waddell last year. We had to park about a mile (at least) down the road from the staging area and unload on the street.

Why dont you just do the poker run? (maybe bikes only)

Honestly, if I wasnt joinin them (poker run) I would stay away from a place that was having a poker run. (too many people)

 

I think parking will be ok at the Rock and most of the poker run will be between Waddell and the Rock. Another option is to park at the ORV park and ride the west side of capital, there's alot less trail to ride but since most of the poker run will just cross most of the secondary roads, I don't think it will be an issue.

The kids and I will be riding a bit on Monday if anyones interested. Either Waddell Creek or Rock Candy or maybe even the ORV entrance. Hopefully we will get muddy? We need RAIN!!

THERE IS MUD AT ROCK CANDY!!!

Just got back from riding with Larry, Rusty and some more. I unfortunately took a stick in my tire and had to pack it in for the day[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-frown.gif[/img] but there was lots of mud and we didn't have any conflicts with the Poker run! there was a light mist and NO DUST!!!

ANBODY HAVE A STOCK BLASTER TIRE THEY NEED TO GET RID OF??? the hole is to big to be plugged!

Bill,you might want to lower your air pressure,running a high pressure like that makes them very susceptible to puntures from rocks & sticks,etc.Them tires is expensive[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

Evans Creek? Not for the faint hearted. But I must pass out kudo's to Berta. Her quad made it through a place that I got completely stuck on. First of all, they were having a jeep fun run there so the trails were pretty much rutted out. Like Berta said though, she didnt mind the ruts cuz they werent on the side of cliffs. They we just ruts. And I mean big ruts. I got high centered a few times. And there was one spot where it was really muddy. To the point that my tire treads filled with mud and were of no use. There is one spot though that is a lookout and you can see Mt Raineie so well that you can almost reach out and touch it. Ill downloadf and post the few pics I took as soon as Im done here. We only rode out about 3 miles and turned back cuz we had to wait a few time for the broken down jeepers to get out of the way.
Well, another week of work coming up, but this time its only 4 days cuz Friday its off to Tahuya for 3 days. Who all is going over, if anyone. If they arent doing the camping thing. Is anybody going over for a day ride? We are going to stay at the belfair St Park. I think someone else is going to stay at the Spillman campground. It would be nice to get a big ride together.
